"I actually work in a bakery factory, alot of manufacturing plants are going to a 24 day shelf life and yes this is a recent change.

Yea they are adding different enzymes and mold inhibitors to push for longer shelf lifes. This is a corporate level decision nationwide. I'm not going to disclose what company this is but it's one of the top 2 in the country."

14 hour smoked pulled pork (smoked with apple hickory wood and made with homemade sweet & spicy rub) with mac & cheese, caramelized onions and mushrooms. This is next level delicious! These long smokes are rough for my sleeping patterns (you need to spray it with apple cider vinegar and apple juice every hour to keep it from drying out) but totally worth it.

It worked.

4 years of buying who knows what lactaid is after trying all of the chemical concoctions they call lactose/dairy free milk and here we are. Free from ever having to buy it again.

Its been a week, no issues from either kid. No gas, no drum stomach, no crying, bm's have been normal. AND it doesnt taste like pure sugar. I can't believe it worked.

This place says it has a mix of the two cows but it tests it to make sure its a2/a2. I havent found one yet thats pure full heritage cows. I'm still looking. Also I'm seeing I should stock up towards the end of the month next time because the price dropped from 4.75 to 3 .85 when I looked this morning. I don't know if that's a thing or not?

Kicker, bit of a rant here. So nephew and his girl have a baby who has sensitivities to milk so they have been buying the lactaid as well and when I told them about it she said " Oh, I have to see if WIC covers it."

A generation a people who won't do better if the government won't pay for it.

iF wIc WoULd cOveR it.

Gross. Nope its big milk working hand in hand with wef all the way down. Fuck with the cows to sell you chemical milk and later the pills to peddle more synthetic foods.

And if you comply enough they'll give it to you all free. Assholes.

I wonder if there's a way to get the welfare people angry about being sold fake food since they are the ones that "support" the economy now.

Duck eggs are back on the menu!     (img.gvid.tv)

87.6 grams, 2.5 x 2 inches. Ducks molt over the winter and lay fewer eggs. Not enough to make it to my closest farmers market, but they're back now.

This was the largest in the dozen large eggs, which go for $15. It's only $12 for the smaller duck eggs. Anyway, pretty tasty. Give them a try if you can get them.

How many of these avocado varieties have you tried? 95% grown are Hass. Here are 8 more types, which ripen throughout the year.      (californiaavocado.com)

I've had a 25' Zutano that produced a couple bushels each year. All of those are worth trying if you get the chance. Probably not many non-Hass avocados make it out of California though.

Will Harris (Owner of White Oak Pastures) - Letter to Whole Foods Customers     (blog.whiteoakpastures.com)

Whole Foods, along with plenty of others, is guilty of greenwashing. In his opinion, Amazon will eventually turn Whole Foods into Walmart... but I'm sure most of us see that coming even if we never did explicitly put it into words.

For those who don't know, White Oak Pastures does regenerative agriculture and they've de-industrialized the farming process. It's not about how many pounds of meat they can pump out to the supermarket, it's about the quality of the food they sell to their customers. It's the difference between "cage free" and pasture raised.

I don't know that I've ever specifically shopped for White Oak Pastures, but I can certainly tell you that US Wellness Meats has an incredibly delicious selection. Their bacon is especially outstanding.

I told them that I told myself to do something different that I hadn't done in a very long time, so it was either this or get my dick sucked by a midget

I make it into a tea, and it's amazing. Clears my sinuses, gives me energy, instantly eliminates any stomach discomfort and calms/soothes the stomach. Why isn't ginger talked about more? It's like a miracle drug.

I stuck two frozen Habeneros in it. You'd figure the freezing would tone it down. Nope!
