14 hour smoked pulled pork (smoked with apple hickory wood and made with homemade sweet & spicy rub) with mac & cheese, caramelized onions and mushrooms. This is next level delicious! These long smokes are rough for my sleeping patterns (you need to spray it with apple cider vinegar and apple juice every hour to keep it from drying out) but totally worth it.
Nice bark and smoke ring. It takes a long time but so worth it. I’ve got a butt thawing for the weekend. I brush it with yellow mustard and my Cajun seasonings. I cook mine until at least 200. I don’t spray mine, but add a few dashes on top when I wrap it in foil. I also have a side of salmon that I’ll brine and add it in the smoker at the end.
Nice. I spray mine with a mix of apple juice, apple cider vinegar and yellow mustard. Once it hits 170 I wrap in foil and bring it up to about 203. Then I let it rest in the oven at 170 for 4-12 hours.
