Who do you go with? I guess the Delorean since it travels through time, but Knight Rider was really cool, too.

people losing trust on the CDC: CDC Issues Health Advisory Over 'Low Vaccination Rates' Across US     (www.theepochtimes.com)

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sent out a "health advisory" on Dec. 14 regarding "low vaccination rates" for influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and COVID-19.
The agency stated that the relatively low vaccination rates "could lead to more severe disease and increased healthcare capacity strain in the coming weeks" and "reports of increased respiratory disease have been described in multiple countries recently."

seems people are either waking up or dot trust these peddlers of death

My grandmother passed away not long ago. She wanted all my grandfather's guns to go to me when she passed. Got a couple antique rifles and a couple pistols. This one seems the most modern. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Remington 870 Express magnum? I also have a P38 which I believe was the standard German pistol. Only thing is it came from my great grandfather who was Russian.

Random old cheap motherboard bios is better than most new ones     (Computers)

I'm going through all my spare pc parts looking to build a win98 pc. I pull out this old asus cusi-m one with a 1gz pentium 3 in it. Looks like it was made in 2000. This board is pretty basic. Clearly designed for a workstation, has minimal slots, no agp and integrated graphics. Give it a clean and change the cmod battery and its working great. Go to the bios and find that it's full of an insane amount of features that most modern systems do not have. Or even the last 15 years. While I spend most of my time with bios as I hate eufi, this motherboard just blew my mind that it had the same level of features of what I would pro boards of the time or today.

Not sure of what I think about Asus stuff today though.

Cholesterol is good for you without it you get dementia and become a soy boy

Fat is good for you sugar is bad for you

Egg yolks are good for you

Sugar substitutes aren't great for you but they're better for you than sugar which is literally poison for your body.

Added by a responder and important and true
"Another good old lie is, a low sodium diet is good for high blood pressure."
It is actually the balance between sodium and potassium in your body that determines whether or not you're going to get high blood pressure and damaging hot blood pressure. If you don't have enough potassium in ratio to the sodium then you have problems if your balance is good it almost doesn't matter how much you have of them

Dont have that great of a lid. Bought their rice because bulk and already in a bucket but for end of world purposes that lid will sink you. Duct tape it after individually packaging rice inside of it would be my suggestion if wanting to store it for long term. Best suggestion would be to get a better bucket to put it in.

4th bloom of the summer. I've had it in a 3 gallon pot for a little over 20 years, and the bloom you see is at 9 feet above the ground. Have a second one in another 3 gallon pot, but that one fell over and broke into several pieces. Am rooting those pieces now. More info and photos about the san pedro cactus at this link.

If you saw my 'date sprouts' post a few months ago, am finally potting them today.

I have no place to grow date palms, so will guerilla garden them, or give them away. They're a random assortment of around 12 types of dates from Palm Springs, CA.

Seam, Line, & Finish with This One Historical Sewing Stitch     (invidious.jing.rocks)

Video description:

Once I learned the English Stitch, it completely altered the way I began to do handsewing. For this exact reason, I knew I needed to share this historical sewing stitch with all of you. I feel that perhaps this could indeed be the one stitch to rule them all... (I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist the opportunity to make this joke.)

Historically "accurate" (or adequate) for 18th century and early 19th-century garment construction, this handsewn stitch historically did not actually have a name. Often, it would just be described by what needs to be done or the steps used. Later on, humans gave this technique the name "The English Stitch" and thenceforth so it was called. This stitch does go by other names as well, but I am not familiar enough with them to be able to accurately explain those.

This historical fashion sewing stitch makes it possible to not only seam two pieces together but to simultaneously line and finish all the edges of those pieces, all in one movement (literally just one row of stitches). Although the stitch itself can take some time and does require deep attention to detail, keeping in mind that this is essentially a 5-in-1 hand sewing stitch, makes all of the patience worthwhile.

Mask Mandates Set To Return In Several California Areas     (www.zerohedge.com)

https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/mask-mandates-set-return-several-california-areas

The orders, which were handed down by individual counties, apply mainly to health care workers, although at least two Bay Area counties have extended the requirement to visitors and patients.

A similar mandate was handed down broadly across the Bay Area for the 2023–2024 fall-through-spring period.

Health officials in counties who have issued upcoming mask mandates say that the face coverings are designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19, influenza, and other respiratory viruses, harking back to the COVID-19 pandemic when mandates were widespread across much of the United States.
