Lots of people still don't know this and believe the old lies that the doctors told people starting back in the '50s and '60s
Cholesterol is good for you without it you get dementia and become a soy boy
Fat is good for you sugar is bad for you
Egg yolks are good for you
Sugar substitutes aren't great for you but they're better for you than sugar which is literally poison for your body.
Added by a responder and important and true "Another good old lie is, a low sodium diet is good for high blood pressure." It is actually the balance between sodium and potassium in your body that determines whether or not you're going to get high blood pressure and damaging hot blood pressure. If you don't have enough potassium in ratio to the sodium then you have problems if your balance is good it almost doesn't matter how much you have of them
No. If you look at the data you'll find that even with the worst substitutes the worst adverse problem is still a lot better than if you ate the equivalent amount of sugar and ended up with diabetes fat liver failure kidney failure all kinds of other problems that are associated with eating too much sugar. Sweetened sweetness for Sweetness in other words one glass of iced tea sweetened to a certain degree versus another glass of iced tea sweetened to a certain degree one with sugar one with a sugar substitute the one with the sugar substitute will always be less harmful to you than the one with real sugar. Now just multiply that by how many sweet things you eat. Now obviously if you can cut out sweet things that you eat all together completely and you're not trying to invite either one of those that may be the best solution but sweetness for sweetness sugar is the worst poison you can put in your body
Another good old lie is, a low sodium diet is good for high blood pressure. That was a theory in the 60's that has been debunked in dozens of medical studies and yet it is still taught in medical schools. Removing salt from your diet can cause a wide range of health problems. If you consume to much salt you just piss it out. Only people with kidney problems actually need to monitor their salt intake
sugar is not as bad as you say the problem is that it is somewhat habit-forming and is used as an additive in everything for some reason.
lost in much of the rediscovery of the importance of fats and proteins is the utility of carbohydrates. they're fine, and quite good for mental activity provided you are not overconsuming and going over your caloric requirements - something easy to do as carbs can pack very high calories in a small and non-satiating package.

sugar is not as bad as you say the problem is that it is somewhat habit-forming and is used as an additive in everything for some reason.
Sugar has similar effects to actual drugs and is extremely habit forming, anything over a minimal amount is detrimental, esp over extended periods of time. Why it is added to everything ? =- sweetens the flavor to increase consumption.
They figured out how to convince the masses of any lie back in the 50s. After Einstein's ridiculous claims about relativity they studied the shit out social engineering.
The Asch experiments is a series of experiments by Solomon Asch in the 50s that tested the extent to which social pressure from a majority group could affect a person to conform.
Conclusion: People were willing to ignore reality in order to conform to the group. They don't have to convince anyone of the lie. They just have to convince them that everyone else believes the lie.

Sugar is not bad for its use: quick, powerful weight-gain carbs for winter.
Sugar substitutes are chemicals. You're inundating your body with chemicals. Sugar is refined sugarcane. As industrialized as it is, its still just a byproduct of a plant.
Agreed. But occasional sugar consumption in active humans does not produce much of an effect (im talking "occasional" one food item per day, no sodas). Sugar is especially useful in the morning, and very bad in the night, when your metabolism is slowing down
For exercise recovery there were a lot of tests done for things like long distance bikers and runners and they found that the best recovery item was not all the process things that they'll sell you but actually raisins because they have a slow digesting carb as well as a lot of potassium and other minerals.

Oh cool, even better then. I choose them after cutting out goyslop, candy etc and was looking for a daily/ day time quick snack replacement in between meals. They fit all my criteria and plus i just engoy chewing on a big bunch of raisins.
Thinking of sugar like alcohol is a good rationale; you get benefits if you drink a glass of wine before sleep to unwind. You also get benefits if you eat an one-ounce chocolate bar after lunch. But like all habits, its as good to take a break sometimes as it is to go overboard once every month or so in as exception
the main one being that it inclines people to overeat. fats and proteins should be the base of the diet, with carbs in smaller amounts on top of that. the American diet has inversed this and that is the main issue.
The main issue is eating fat with carbs. Fat is healthy to ingest when you dont eat carbs. Barbecues are excellent when there are no carbs, as you inundate your blood with animal protein and fat to make you alive.
The old school recommendations were overly simplistic. So are yours. Some cholesterol is good some is bad as you age. Cholesterol plaques on artery walls were a positive adaptation to help human survive physical trauma without exsanguinating. These plaques can also cause dementia. And they do come from dietary fat. You cant live without fat. Some fats like trans fats and oxidized fats are inflamatory. Omega 6 fats help to form arachadonic acid. Too much omega 6 fat as you age could accelerate chronic aging diseases. But I would not say omega 6 is bad. We need it in the right proportion.
Same with carbs. Sugar is not poison. That is ridiculous. Its a terrifically efficient energy source. Its fuel for people. What you mean to say is that limiting its intake as you age will slow some inflamatory aging diseases, but longevity is hardly mother nature’s only objective. We need carbs to live and reproduce.

What are sugar subtitutes ? - the only sugar i have is from fruit - typically mandarins and 3x large packets of sun-dried raisins a week - soft easy to consume as a snack and full of sweetness since i purposely avoid goy slop, candy, chocolate and processed foods (added sugar).
Choosing any form of sugar because you think one has more nutrients in it than the other is kind of like saying I'm going to choose cocaine over some other kind of cocaine because there's more nutrients in the one cocaine. The ratio of bad to good is just ridiculous and in fact you know purified sugar is actually purified so there's nothing else in there but the sugar crystals. Fact is a purified sugar in a very similar way that they purify cocaine. And you know you can chew a cocoa leaf and it's probably not harmful at all and it gives you a little extra energy to get through the day like the natives do in the hills but when you purify that stuff and it becomes cocaine it's a whole different animal. You probably can't consume enough coca leaves in their raw form to actually give you problems from the cocaine that's contained inside them but it's the same with sugar unless you're munching on raw sugar cane which would devour your teeth and your jaw before you could eat probably too much if you're eating sugar you're poisoning yourself. And the effects are cumulative and the damage is every single time you eat sugar especially if your blood sugar spikes because you don't have enough of an insulin reaction to keep your blood sugar from spiking.
Saccharine is the one that has absolutely no effect on your body. It passes through your body completely unaltered and it doesn't do any damage or react to anything is it's going through your body. It was the original sugar substitute and then the company which I think was later purchased by GD Searle had their patent run out so they then started marketing a spare time and they were competing against their old product which was saccharine which was much better so they had to start a rumor that it caused cancer. They did that by loading up a bunch of mice with some other things in addition to some saccharine and that caused some bladder cancer in the mice so they got the FDA to be able to put on the the packages of their former products Akron that it cause cancer. Well later research prove that that was all wrong and of course the motivation was discovered and that's why you don't see that it causes cancer on the sacrament packages anymore because it doesn't. I use saccharine. All the other things that are plant-based sugars are still natural sugars which still have the same problem that they might spike your blood sugar level and that's what really causes the damage to your body. It's not just the calories it's also that when your blood sugar spikes it actually damages tissue and it damages every time it does it and you really don't ever heal completely so it's like throwing shellac on a wall every time you do it you're going to have more shellac on the wall and it's not necessarily going to be good. Anyway saccharin's might go to and I highly suggest you do some research on it. People need to remember that just because a plant produces it doesn't mean it's harmless there are a lot of things that plants produce that are very harmful.

The best is pure glucose but table sugar is sucrose which is a glucose and fructose molecule stuck together with a simple carbon bond that breaks straight away in stomach acid, pure glucose is rare as a sweetener. But sucrose is not so bad in moderation despite fructose being essentially poison.
Every sweetener has downsides just avoid HFCS and aspartame and don't ever mix artificial sweeteners with each other or real sugars and alcohol sugars like xylitol and erythritol make you pee and thicken your blood so try not to have too much and never mix with real sugars.
The simplest advice is to not imbibe liquid sugars.

"Sugar substitutes aren't great for you but they're better for you than sugar which is literally poison for your body."
I believe this is wrong. It takes more of the substitutes to get the same reaction. Thus more, thus, worse.
