Amazing price. Chrome lined barrel too. I bought one of their uppers in 2013, just the upper -no lower but with charging handle and BCG, and I paid the same.

I've never had any luck growing radishes, apparently one of the easiest of plants to grow, but...paydirt!     (i.ibb.co)

And I can't figure out what I did right. I was trying to grow mostly the bulbous variety rather than the long radishes but they got leggy which suggests not enough light whereas the long radishes were in the sunniest spot in the garden (for mid winter). And an added bonus is I grew the long radishes in shallow seed trays which was an experiment as we have lots laying around and not put to any good use. It's wonderful to be rewarded by your garden.I was about to give up on radishes but then today spotted some beauties. Very exciting!

Had Vitamin D Tested     (Health)

Never been to a doctor before as an adult. In fact, for the longest time, I was the type of person who planned to never go as I don’t want or need medication. However, I have a keen interest in nutrition and the prospect of having a blood test done could serve as a helpful tool to improve my health.

My Vitamin D was measured at 86 ng/mL with the reference range being between 30 and 100. Currently sitting at the high end of optimal.

I was very curious to see this measure as I have been taking 25,400 IU of oral vitamin D3 daily for the past 120 days with generally 1 hour weekly of sunbathing upon the Great Lakes region (when possible) sporting northern European fair skin.

I had a suspicion that oral supplementation alone would be insufficient for optimal levels but it appears they have worked just fine. 25K IU sounds like a high dosage but I have a firm belief the move from mcg to IU was in an intentional effort to help worsen the health of the general public while simultaneously scaring people away from sunshine. I combine D3 supplementation with K2, magnesium citrate, and vitamin A from a quality multivitamin while adhering to a carnivore diet.

I would suggest everyone here supplement vitamin D3 at a much higher dosage than the RDA.

Having secured his agreement, I proceeded, “Then it follows that the doctor qua doctor prescribes with a view not to his own interest but that of his patient. For we agreed that a doctor in the precise sense controlled the body and was not in business for profit, did we not?”
He assented.
“And did we not also agree that a ship's captain in the precise sense controlled the crew but was not one of them?”
He agreed.
“So that a captain in this sense is in control, but will not give his orders with his own interest in view, but that of the crew which he controls.”
He agreed reluctantly.
“And therefore, my dear Thrasymachus”, I concluded, “no ruler of any kind, qua ruler, exercises his authority, whatever its sphere, with his own interest in view, but that of the subject of his skill. It is his subject and his subject's proper interest to which he looks in all he says and does.”

—The Republic, 342 d

I always found Plato frustrating, because real world experience (aka History) provides so many counter examples to his arguments-in-a-vacuum. "Bro, listen bro, in a high-trust, homogenous ethno-state, bro..."

Of course, I added jalapeños to the mix.
Formerly I had queried about rice flour for the rue. I really appreciate all of your suggestions on this topic. However, I ended up trying corn starch for the rue. That turned out bad, dumped it. Then, I boiled those shitty rice pasta elbows I had ordered online and they were crap too, so I dumped them too.
Turns out, the old school rue and real pasta works the best.
This shit is about to go in the oven.
I’m gonna be food drunk after this.
Recipe attached.

Part of Operation Silent Night, this man with a wife and children had his homestead farm raided by the ATF over some Chinese filters he purchased online.

His lawyer was incompetent and represented him poorly. The ATF was able to frame things in such a way that the jury found him guilty.

End the Fed, abolish the ATF.

These two are "unrelated" but would work together to prevent a lot of folks from owning arms.

HR 4980 would put everyone who hasn't received the lethal injection on the No Fly List. On top of this...

The No Fly, No Buy, Gun Control law has been bouncing around since 2018 and has Bipartisan support.

HR 4980 has a very low chance of becoming law anyway, but the fact that the audacity to even propose this exists in US politics is quite an indicator of the times.

? Antihistamines apparently are an effective Covid Remedy - Get on it Early     (market-ticker.org)

... in a not-so-tiny nation called Spain, a nursing home had a nasty virus get into it.

It was March of 2020. The nasty virus was called Covid-19. And this nursing home, like so many others all over the world, was full of elderly, morbid people. The mean age of residents was 85 and 48% were over 80 years old. It was a killing field, like so many others.....

Within three months 100% of the residents had caught the virus. Not presumed to have -- proved to have.

How do we know this? Because almost every one of them seroconverted. All but three out of 84 of them, to be precise.

Think about that last sentence for a second.

1. Early start of treatment, regardless of the severity of patient symptoms.
- Antihistamines every 12 h: dexchlorpheniramine 2 mg, cetirizine 10 mg or loratadine 10 mg.
- Azithromycin 500 mg orally every 24 h for 3 days if there is rapid improvement, and for 6 days if the duration of symptoms is prolonged.
- If pain or fever, acetaminophen 650 mg/6–8 h.
- Nasal washing and gargling with sodium bicarbonate water (half a glass of warm water with half a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate).
2. Patients with mild or recent-onset symptoms (cough, fever, general malaise, anosmia, polymyalgia):
- Antihistamines + Azithromycin (see mild treatment management)
- Levofloxacin 500 mg/12 h, up to 14 days of antibiotic treatment from diagnosis.
- Mepifilin solution, 50 mg/8 h as a bronchodilator, until subjective improvement. Patients with previous lung disease (asthma or COPD) used their usual bronchodilators.
- If the patient experienced increased breathing difficulty, prednisone 1 mg/kg/day divided into two doses until clinical improvement, and then it was slowly tapered down.
3. If symptoms of severity (dyspnea, breathing difficulty, mild or moderate chest pain, with SpO2 >80%, heart rate <100 beats per minute at any time of the process):
4. Prophylactic treatment for close contacts, including all asymptomatic residents:
- Antihistamines at the same dose as symptomatic patients.

Solely as trading fodder. I have started doing so, and only buying shit I would never get into. Who knows, a handle of cheap whiskey could buy a few days worth of food, medicine or ammo. My investment is $12.99 going in, and it keeps, forever.

I’m mostly thinking ammo here. Besides all your 9 and 223, why not have something you can trade with? Say, some .380, or some .32. Maybe some .44.

Just a thought.
