I'm comfortably in the income bracket where dropping $100k on a truck doesn't bother me at all, because I'm going to spend another $70k in aftermarket on it anyway.

Is it something to do with buying more than you can afford? Debt? Registration? Taxes? Licensing? POPO?

I mean, I'm all about disconnecting from jewery as much as you feasibly can (and we can all do better on this front), but other than avoiding the obvious pitfalls of car ownership I don't see it keeping you all that tightly bound.

Then again I live in an area where you need transportation. Though I've only ever paid cash for used vehicles from people, not companies/businesses/corps. I also see the wagon/personal transport as originating in ancient Whites. Perhaps it's been subverted like everything else though.
