Ursa Major - my first astrophotography attempt with my new star tracker     (files.catbox.moe)

Ursa Major, taken this evening! Well, it's not a good picture, but it's my first with my star tracker. Technically not my first either, because the first one was a 5 minute exposure of the back of the lens cap.
Was getting too cold and too late to continue to fiddle, but i think i have polar alignment down ok, and the app figured out.
Now, if i knew how to use a camera at all, this image would be in focus, and if i knew how to use software editing at all, I probably to figure out how to correct the colors being washed out a bit. but those are further steps down the line.

star adventurer pro 2i with nikon D3100, f/2.8, 5 minute exposure with 35mm lens.

I set up my old-school camera that uses film and took a few more pictures. Once I get those developed I'll post some here as well.
Edit: I just remembered, the picture is upside down, as it was shot through a mirror telescope. This was near the very end. But you can see the two sunspots really nice.

Amuse on X Says, "Trump Should Make Pluto Great Again by Restoring That Planet's Designation as a Planet by Executive Order!"     (x.com)

Pluto was a planet, is a planet, and should once again be recognized as a planet. This is not sentimentality masquerading as science. It is a correction long overdue for a demotion steeped in procedural absurdity and definitional incoherence.

The International Astronomical Union’s 2006 decision to strip Pluto of planetary status did not reflect a robust consensus of scientific reasoning but rather a last-minute procedural hijack, wherein a handful of astronomers rewrote the cosmos while most of their colleagues were already boarding planes home.

In light of William Shatner's recent post on X calling on President Trump to issue an executive order restoring Pluto's planetary status, the case for executive action is now not only scientifically justified but politically urgent. President Trump should act. He should sign that order. It would be a moment of presidential leadership where reason, public interest, and scientific clarity converge. Amuse on X.

Planet Pluto is in fact the primary member of a multiple system that has at least six components, which makes it a very important inhabitant of the solar system indeed.
