First time poster, long time lurker.

I have only lurked any sites since Voat went down. I did participate in the decentralized nodes when Voat first went down, but didn't commit to any of the websites (I really wanted decentralized to work, since it fixes so many issues with communities like ours). Here we are, years later, and it appears that Upgoat is the site that emerged from the ashes as the best option. I don't normally do introduction posts, but since it's an option here instead of an arbitrary requirement I figured it was worth the time.

Glad to see that upgoat isn't the ONLY option we have, and that there are smaller options linked to from time to time. Every bit helps.

I’ve been pretty blackpilled about zoomers but overheard something today that made me smile. I took the kids to the pool and two teenage girls were sitting next to us chatting. One of them said she just got back from a road trip to Texas and how much she loved the people there. Then she said “then when we crossed state lines to our state there was a giant sign saying everyone is welcome and our state flag next to a rainbow flag. DISGUSTING!”

Haha it’s nice to know there are still a few White girls with sense. Also, pride month doesn’t seem so in your face this year. I’ve actually forgotten about it a few times. Businesses seem to have backed off a bit.

Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity for IT. Like Hi-Fi stands for High Fidelity for audio electronics.

Most of people working in tech industry have no clue what Wi-Fi means.

This alone should warn people to not trust Big Tech, like Big Pharma, because they lack the necessary IQ to understand simple, obvious things.
