She expressed interesting claims about underground bases/tunnels within the USA. When pressed on how these underground bases were ventilated or where they derived power she stumbled and claimed the USA has alternative power sources too dangerous to let out into the public (hence how UFOs are powered).
I read most of the book. Extremely well-written and has very memorable scenes. It's really a magnificent piece of art that counters the ideas of communism and government confiscation for the "greater good".
I have to give credit to Any Rand, English was not her first language and yet she was able to write this magnificent work.
Atlas Shrugged inspired the Bioshock video games. If you haven't already you should check out the intro to Bioshock "My name is Andrew Ryan"
