Actually I checked a few articles and none of them mention the age of the sheriff's daughter. Probably safe to assume she was underage, and in that case only a degenerate would lament the judge getting popped in the face.

probably more correct than any other narrative as of yet. if it was some sort of pedo thing, the lawyers and defendant would have made a statement by now. it was a situation that the was out of the fathers control, legally, so he took control, physically.

Would not surprise as some are speculating, the real plot twist was the sheriff was an abusive pos, and the wife / daughter had been speaking to the judge (the sheriff's friend for over 20 years) about protection orders etc.

So the idea that the Judge was abusing, might be false and he may have been trying to protect the child from an abusive domestic situation. It seems the daughter would not answer calls from her father but answered the call from the Judge’s phone.'

Or a more sinister scenario: the judge was molesting the daughter AND preparing to use his power to legally kidnap her. It sounds like the girl is on his side, so that could mean she's been groomed. I'd wager this sort of thing goes on a lot, "legal" human trafficking.

Speculating here: There's no way the pedo judge's phone was unsecured, so in order to access it, the cop would have had to make the judge unlock it. This confrontation probably began with the cop making accusations and demanding to see the judge's phone; he probably saw that his daughter was communicating to the judge's number on his phone bill/records.

Cop accuses the judge, judge gets scared and decides to show him- likely feeling safe because he deletes/hides anything compromising, or has a different phone for his illegal activities. The cop looked through his texts and didn't see anything, then checked his contacts and found his daughter's name and number. Cop puts it all together, and then cue the footage here.

The rage a man would feel in such a moment must burn like a fucking star... and the object of his rage is right in front of him... and he is armed. This is a situation with an obvious outcome.
