I support ya however you quit. I'm no saint either, but I picked a weekend and quit drinking cold turkey, and replaced it with legal weed. It's almost 2 months off the Jew poison.

Dood

[ - ] GreatSatan 3 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 12:21:04 ago (+4/-1)

Now weed is going to destroy you. Enjoy your psychosis and no REM sleep

You still dream or you would lose your mind.you still rem .

Weed is also jew poison

[ - ] LeoFranksGhost 0 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 22:01:02 ago (+0/-0)

Nah you're retarded, weed is a plant medicine from God/the Universe.

[ - ] __47__ [op] 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 08:19:38 ago (+1/-0)

Thanks. I can't stop. Me either. I tried CBD and other deltas.

[ - ] Sector2 5 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:03:34 ago (+5/-0)

"I can't stop."

You could stop if you wanted to, assuming you have control over your own body. Don't buy it. Don't raise the glass or bottle to your mouth. Don't take a sip or gulp and swallow it. Failing any one of those steps would prevent you from drinking alcohol, and would involve far less drama and $ than rehab.

What about aversion therapy? Buy a nice taser. Take a sip of alcohol, tase your balls before you swallow. Once you're able, take another sip and tase again. Repeat as necessary. You'll end up with a nice taser, an aversion to alcohol, and an accumulating amount of spare money.

[ - ] GlowNiggerDick 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:50:44 ago (+3/-1)

Is aversion therapy how you stopped sucking dick?

[ - ] Sector2 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:58:16 ago (+2/-0)

Aversion is how I never started. It's an underappreciated tool for life improvement.

[ - ] HeyJames 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 08:49:38 ago (+2/-0)

Glp-1 can help

[ - ] LeoFranksGhost 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 11:28:11 ago (+1/-0)

I know you're already going to rehab and all that and maybe it's better for you to remain totally sober, but assuming you live in a state (or even in the States) where weed is not legal, look into THC-A. It's a sorta loophole where essentially the sale of weed has been federally legal since the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. It sounds to good to be true but the short version is that THC-A is the precursor of Delta 9 THC, the good stuff that gets ya medicated. The "loophole" is that the Farm Bill states that anything under 0.3% THC is classified as legal hemp, so even though some weed could test at like 29% THC-A and will convert to THC once heated by smoking, vaping, or cooking it, it is still classified as legal hemp. Sounds crazy but I've found it in many smoke shops in an illegal state and you can buy it online and have it shipped to your house.

God bless the USA lol.

[ - ] Drstrangestgov 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 13:11:45 ago (+2/-1)

There are better herbs that aren't sold by reptiles

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:06:34 ago (+1/-0)

There are seeds online of all kinds. In almost all cases better for you than products from a lab.

[ - ] LeoFranksGhost 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 22:00:10 ago (+1/-0)

See my reply to Drstrangest, yes homegrown is always the best stuff if grown halfway correctly and assuming you have the means. But THC-A is literally just regular ol' cannabis/marijuana/weed. Look it up. In the USA you can straight up buy weed online from reputable vendors and have it shipped to your door. Nothing synthetic, naturally grown. Check out luckyelk.com for shits and gigs.

[ - ] LeoFranksGhost 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 21:51:21 ago (+1/-0)

Not sure what you mean? Like, different herbs besides cannabis entirely or you think THC-A is synthetic or too corporate or something? Because THC-A is literally just weed. It's not like delta-8 or HHC or anything made in a lab, it's literally naturally grown in soil or whatever because it's literally just weed. Look it up if you have doubts. I'm really into organic/natural stuff and would never put any lab-made dogshit into my body and would never recommend it to others. I mean, take a look at this site: luckyelk.com. Organic cannabis from Oregon farms. There's a million sites but these guys have greet reviews.

Homegrown if possible is always best of course.

[ - ] Drstrangestgov 0 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 23:09:02 ago (+0/-0)

I'll check with my herbalist friend to see what she gave me for joints. What are your symptoms? Shes one of those sweet little old plant ladies and knows her stuff.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 9 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:38:41 ago (+10/-1)

Quitting drinking is one of the best decisions I ever made. Sober reality is much more enjoyable now. I don’t even worry about slipping up anymore because I love being a non-drinker.

Lean on us for encouragement if you need it. I felt a wonderfull sense of freedom when I stopped craving alcohol. Hope that day is near for you. \o

[ - ] SumerBreeze 3 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 14:23:55 ago (+3/-0)

My old self would have called you a quitter and a pussy, but I haven’t had booze for nearly 3 years now I don’t miss the hangovers and numbness and mystery bruises and the “good times” that brought more trouble than any good.

[ - ] BloodyComet 3 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:14:28 ago (+3/-0)

I swear, alcohol is made legal and available everywhere because governments love the effect that it has on the population. Turns you into fat, dumb, ignorant people who just work to support their drinking habit and pay taxes. The perfect debt slave, too poisoned to even fight back without months of recovery. It's brilliant in how sinister it is.

Remember, during muh "lockdowns", some towns had the only places that remained open being liquor stores. I recall it being explained as "if we close the liquor stores, then alcoholics will die in droves because they won't be able to get their fix". So, by their logic, the danger of the world-ending virus was not as severe as people stopping drinking. THEY WANT YOU DRINKING.

That should be all you need to know to make you avoid booze.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:35:25 ago (+2/-1)

Its a massive money maker— like a trillion dollars a year. Of course they want you to keep drinking. They realize that if you cant drink for like 2 or 3 weeks in a row, many people will withdraw and quit drinking altogether

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:30:33 ago (+2/-1)

mystery bruises

Oh I forgot about that. I don’t miss embarassing myself and drunk calling people either,

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 18:50:16 ago (+2/-0)

If you're this way sober...

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 0 points 3 weeksApr 7, 2025 11:14:40 ago (+0/-0)

Your attitude is much worse than a drunk's, sober. Likely the reason no one could stand you long enough to knock you up 😘

[ - ] dosvydanya_freedomz 7 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:05:40 ago (+7/-0)

take care and i wish you the best. hopefully you'll getting out of there stronger

[ - ] __47__ [op] 4 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:10:51 ago (+4/-0)

It's hard man. Alcohol helped me ease over a lot of problems like jews and shit. It's still a personal choice and wrong. I just checked out and didn't care when drinking.

[ - ] dosvydanya_freedomz 3 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:16:57 ago (+3/-0)

i hear you sometimes we need to escape but we choose the wrong ave to do it. every vice has its consequences. whether is alcohol, drugs, sex, food or anything else.

you got to accept responsibilities for your actions and then when you do that the healing process will begin. it'll await you a tough time but as long as you are determined you can make it.

if you are believer prayer helps alot when dealing with addictions.

[ - ] __47__ [op] 4 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:19:45 ago (+4/-0)

You're right. I'm in deep man. I pray to my folks and God to help me crawl out of the hole I've made for myself.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 10:47:04 ago (+2/-0)

Millions of 'hopeless' drunks have quit, so can you. Use ANGER as your guide. 'I REFUSE TO BE A FUCKIN DRUNK! NO MORE!'

[ - ] namefagsrgay 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 12:49:05 ago (+2/-0)

That's the one thing that made me kick addiction. You really need to want it, and HATE the addiction and yourself for allowing it.

After a while giving in to the addiction makes you sick and the pain of withdrawals pales in comparison for the hate you feel for yourself for being so weak.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 12:50:49 ago (+1/-0)

Hate and anger got me sober, and even now I still use it to great effect for even mundane tasks like housecleaning. 'FUCK THESE DIRTY DISHES REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'

[ - ] Freespeechplease 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 10:47:44 ago (+1/-0)

Don't call it a hole, just do it. The body won't be happy for about a week, but it's worth it in the end. It's just a chemical imbalance and routine.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 19:59:55 ago (+1/-1)

It's hard man. Alcohol helped me ease over a lot of problems like jews and shit.

That is the illusion that alcohol gives: that the stress comes from all these external things and alcohol is the fix. What you don’t realize is that your sober periods are far more stressful because you are drinking. The regular alcohol consumption causes dysregulation of mood in between drinking sessions. I couldn’t believe how much less stressful those external stressors seemed when I had been off booze for a few months. You think booze helps you get over the misery and frustration you feel in your sober life. But its the opposite: it exacerbates that stress. So much of my angsty-ness went away when I quite booze and caffeine.

[ - ] __47__ [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 21:34:34 ago (+0/-0)

For sure. Being sober and facing the problems you let grow makes it hard sometimes to stay on the path.

[ - ] Trope 5 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 11:17:19 ago (+5/-0)

Awesome, dude. It’s going to be great when you’re off alcohol.

It’s all about dopamine. Alcohol gives a massive flood of dopamine when blood alcohol levels rise. After a few weeks, your dopamine receptors will normalize. You’ll want to focus on finding things in life that give actual joy.

A great starting place is hard work. Work gives us a dopamine drip. Perhaps you can start an enterprise and build some lasting wealth while serving others.

People and love bring us the other neurotransmitters of joy: Serotnin, endoprhins, and endocannibinoids. Make sure you’re never suffering from loneliness as it is VERY destructive. Make an effort to spend more time with family, siblings, or extended family.

[ - ] Bassman9000 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 11:58:07 ago (+2/-0)

I've been lonely for 20 years. Healthy human relationships are a psyop.

To be honest, I've detached myself from humanity, less pain that way. I just come here to shoot the shit with FEDS.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 15:16:33 ago (+1/-0)

Have you actually been lonely, or enjoying solitude and isolation? Big difference.

[ - ] Bassman9000 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 16:14:26 ago (+1/-0)

I long for a family. But solitude and isolation bring peace. Humans are not nice.

[ - ] PoundOfFlesh 5 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:51:08 ago (+5/-0)

The root of addiction is trauma.

Address your trauma - anger, grief, whatever it may be.

[ - ] SilentByAssociation 1 point 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 11:07:57 ago (+1/-0)

This is something that came up in a conversation I had last week. I would tend to agree with this.

Paul Leendertse and the Root Cause Institute are eye-opening. I haven't read up enough to discuss their cause at-length, but I'm changing that soon.

[ - ] Gigglestick 3 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 10:59:17 ago (+3/-0)

Hey bro, not sure if I’ve talked to you ever but I’ve been considering the same thing. I started a job as a sparky last year and I’m not the most sober all the time. I need to get control or give up and give in to the fact that I drink way too much and it’s a slow suicide.

Anyway good luck goater, rooting for you.

Never liked rehab as a treatment. It fails what, 80% of the time? Seems like a huge waste of time and money, there are other treatment options that don't involve becoming essentially a prisoner.

I say this as a guy who dipped his toes into addiction. All of my friends (many years ago now) got hooked on opiates, and I was lucky enough to see them self-destructing and get out of that lifestyle before I got hooked or into any trouble. So, I've watched those friends (from a distance) undergo a variety of treatments. Rehab never seems to work- they come out and stay clean for a few weeks, and then right back to it.

I suppose some people need to be locked away during withdrawals. Especially for something as easily obtained as alcohol. It'd probably be better to do it at home though, being looked after by family.

[ - ] __47__ [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 16:41:21 ago (+0/-0)

Most of my family is dead. My father is around and we see each other regularly.

Alcohol is yet another jew trick to keep people weak and addicted. Get ANGRY, stay angry. That's how I quit, over a decade ago.

[ - ] gabou 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:50:30 ago (+2/-0)

No shame in that. Keep your head up. Go in with an open mind. Rehab will give you a good start on sobriety.

Glad you are going. Being stuck in the endless cycle of drink is miserable.

[ - ] Rotteuxx 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:45:32 ago (+2/-0)

Good on you, a friend of mine did the same a couple of years ago, changed her life completely for the better.

You'll go through some challenging moments though, if I may recommend one book that might give you some mental support and a good perspective, get a copy of Scott Peck's The Road Less Travelled.

[ - ] Smedleys_Butler 2 points 3 weeksApr 6, 2025 09:14:31 ago (+2/-0)

You will not miss constantly waking up hungover, tired, and having a drink just to feel "functional." All you need to do is endure a few days of your body getting used to functioning without being poisoned with alcohol.

It will be worth it.

Take a look here.

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/alcoholism.html

Apparently apple cider vinegar is a great substitute for the burning feeling after downing liquor. It makes sense to me, because I've never enjoyed alcohol or ACV, and that's probably the biggest reason.

I'm curious, have you tried kava kava? That's the stuff that's supposed to give people an alcohol-free buzz. I've never understood how it works (then again I've never tried it, let alone as an alcohol substitute).

I have tried kava at a bar in my area. Blended juices with it to make it more palatable. Didn't care for it much then but may need to revisit it in the future.
