Either there's a Mandela effect going on, or I was absolutely taught the wrong story as a kid. I just looked it up, and it seems your version is the correct one, but what *I* was taught was that Medusa went around telling her sisters that she was more beautiful than Athena herself, so Athena cursed her to be hideous, and transformed her into something so hideous as to frighten anyone who looked upon her into stone.
Habaneros were hot enough to upset my stomach when I roasted and ate them, but they were still tasty. I don't see any benefit from eating hotter than that, other than to say "I ate something retardly hot", and I just don't care enough about other people to bother.
I was attacked by dogs as a kid, once really badly (pit bull tried its best to remove my stomach from the rest of me). I'm still a bit uneasy around ones I don't know. It can be a catch-22 for me, because I know dogs can pick up on that unease, and are more likely to be aggressive towards me as a result, which is part of what makes me uneasy around them.
If a dog doesn't trust me, it's probably because it knows I don't trust it.
I know it's an unpopular act here, but it's why I have a FB account; it allowed me to reconnect with all those I had grown up with, but moved away from as a teen. I know it for the data-harvesting kikery it is, and I don't spend my day on it like some waste of melaninated carbon, but because of it, I've now gotten to see how people that had once been very dear to me turned out, how their kids have grown up, what their grandkids look like. I'm not going to feel guilty for that.
Loaded for me. It's a cobra-style seemingly enjoying being sprayed from a garden hose, and then being scritched under the chin by the person spraying it.
I'd like to draw attention to the fact that that's a package and a half of swiss cake rolls; she couldn't even go the entire set-up without eating half a package of swiss cake rolls.
I'm not the most adversarial of people, or even in the top half, but I always just walk on out the door, visibly holding my receipt in my hand. If the receipt checker speaks anything at all to me, I just politely say "No thank you", without pausing and keep on my way. Literally a non-issue. I mean, seriously, what reason could they possibly have to do otherwise, that doesn't end badly for the store?

So, to punish Medusa, Athena cursed her and made her ugly by transforming her hair into dreadlocks. Hmm, I might actually buy this one.

Windows 10 was what convinced me to finally switch to Linux. Windows 11 made me thankful for doing so.

True, but still more useful than the one you or I built.

New. It's SCP-related. Very creative zoomer fiction, if you ever feel like checking out what the (non-degenerate) kids are into.

I don't remember if it did or not, but I do remember that it did not identify as a "guy", which was the main source of distress by the shooter/parent.
