Just think of the lies you could get away with before the advent of the internet or mass ownership of small personal recording devices.

Now apply this very same logic to space and nukes.

I'd go to the moon in a nanosecond but we destroyed the technology and it's painful to build it back. China and Russia though are going to start building moon bases and nukes on the moon.
