Parts of North America are covered in smoke. The sky where I live is hazy and kind of looks dystopian. The air has a strange smoky smell to it.     (www.ventusky.com)

Rain can't come soon enough to wash all the smoke out of the air.

Had some nasty brake shudder on my truck. So i turned down the bad rotors.      (files.catbox.moe)

[second pic](https://files.catbox.moe/lbberi.jpg), can you guess where the brake pad sat while the truck was parked for a few weeks in the winter?
In total i took .045" of that face to clean it up completely. This is the rear rotor. I sandblasted the mounting surfaces first to get a good reading on the dial indicator setting it up in the lathe.
The rotor on the opposite side wasn't as bad and only took .015" of material removal to make it run true again.

Received the quick change pallet system from Pierson Workholding today.
Still waiting on my CNC mill. I should get that in a week or two.
Still plenty of work ahead of me to get my shop setup for the new machine.

Got this for an amazing price, it's a 2018 with low hours. The short mast really benefits me since my ceiling height is low as well.

Part of running your own business, is dealing with shitty clients that are late to pay their bills.
It's sad to see a company fail not because of shortage of work or bad craftmanship, but simply due to mismanagement.
I'll find new clients. There are not many machine shops around here, and the ones that are are all supper busy.

I have not been paying attention to politics in Ontario for a while. I do see that politician only care about their own agenda and don't give a damn about the publics opinion.
Should I even bother?

Now that all these tariffs are getting implemented, our taxes are going to get reduced in equal amounts, right? ...right?     (whatever)

I'm just a machinist, so I know nothing in these matters, but from what I have learned on voat, taxes are only going to go up, and the rich at the top will be making even more money.

Yankies call a bolt that fits a 13 mm socket a 13 mm bolt... A 8mm bolt with hex head takes a 13 mm wrench or socket. No one calls a 1/2" bolt (1/2" diameter threads) a 3/4" bolt. Why only be stupid when it comes to metric sizes.     (Machining)
