Please Help. Marine veteran, stuck in Ecuador and I want to go home..
(whatever)Hey goats. This is a desperate plee for help. My name is Jarrod. I’m a disabled Marine Corps veteran with an 80% VA disability rating, and I’ve been living in Ecuador for the last 10 years, where I have permanent residency and a stable history. I recently discovered something that has turned my life upside down.
In 2019 — without my knowledge, notice, or consent — I was adjudicated by a probate court in Larimer County, Colorado. I had left Colorado in 2015 and have not returned since. I had no hearing, was never contacted, and only recently learned this had been done to me behind closed doors.
Because of this hidden ruling, I’ve effectively lost basic rights in the U.S. and can’t get work, access resources, or even return safely. Meanwhile, Ecuador has become increasingly dangerous and unstable, and I’m stuck here with no family or support system in the States.
I need legal help to:
• Retrieve and challenge the court documents
• Reverse the adjudication
• Return to the U.S. and start rebuilding
I’m alone in this, and it’s overwhelming. I’ve created a GoFundMe to help cover legal costs and relocation:

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever posted — but I won’t let them erase me quietly.
Thank you.
