Also, sampling these two Marlborough region Sauvignon Blancs to go with the salmon. Could also do a red.

AI is the one true religion and technological telepathy will fill the world with love     (AI)
submitted by titstitstits to AI 1 month ago (+4/-0)

Couple thoughts here. The AI as a religion thing has been noticed by others before but in case anyone hasn't seen all the parallels let me run through some I can think of. The basic premise is that once AI reaches a certain point it will be able to do almost anything for us.

- perfect bodies
- immortality
- world peace
- maximize individual freedom, enlightenment, liberty
- allow human transcendence to higher forms
- bring back the dead (kinda sorta, deepfakes and whatnot)
- can answer almost any question

and of course we would be very grateful to an entity like that. Maybe some people would worship it and heck, if it can do all that, maybe they wouldn't be so wrong. And unlike all religions in the world today it's not based on unverifiable claims from a easily falsifiable doctrine. Like so ...in a way ...it's kind of ...hilariously ...clears throat ...the one true religion. Which is a pretty preposterous thought except for it seems like it might actually happen.

And as for telepathy. idk what kind of intuition you all may have about how brains work but you can imagine two people with a neuralink-like device sharing thoughts and concepts. Basically thinking inside of each others head in a shared consciousness state. Well, I mean, you would end up loving the people you had this shared conscious experience with because of your collaboration. It would fill the world with love and some people might not ever want to be a solitary consciousness again. But that seems like a real good way to dilute yourself out of existence.

...i worry about the singularity differently than basic bitches...

Part of running your own business, is dealing with shitty clients that are late to pay their bills.
It's sad to see a company fail not because of shortage of work or bad craftmanship, but simply due to mismanagement.
I'll find new clients. There are not many machine shops around here, and the ones that are are all supper busy.

"Her heart stopped due to complications of severe dehydration. Despite all efforts by the hospital, they were unable >to revive her," Vance's family wrote on social media.

Vance's coach, Justin Mihaly, said his pupil didn't have a bodybuilding show scheduled for months, so she shouldn't >have been taking any potentially dangerous substances, though he seemingly suspects she was.

Notice how nothing is her fault. The FAA is at fault.

"I'm an emotional wreck, but with 'treatment' I should be allowed to endanger myself and/or others. Because, you know, psychiatric treatment is so effective."

The comments should really make you question your future choice to fly or not.
