I’ve been washing my laundry with white vinegar for a year.     (Health)

No endocrine disrupters. Dirt cheap. The clothes come out without any scent. Watched Dr Paul Saladino explain this on YouTube and it’s been working great.

I also keep the vinegar in a glass spray bottle and use it to quickly wipe down the toilet and sink. The bathroom is so clean, you would think Polish people inhabit the house.

Although I do not believe the washing machine or dryer have any serviceable parts manufactured in the United States.

Had some nasty brake shudder on my truck. So i turned down the bad rotors. original content     (files.catbox.moe)

second pic, can you guess where the brake pad sat while the truck was parked for a few weeks in the winter?
In total i took .045" of that face to clean it up completely. This is the rear rotor. I sandblasted the mounting surfaces first to get a good reading on the dial indicator setting it up in the lathe.
The rotor on the opposite side wasn't as bad and only took .015" of material removal to make it run true again.

Big ass Thulja Plicata, also known as Western Red Cedar. Just planted the first one along my property border. Going to plant a few more and establish some privacy along the yard since we live in town.

I really like evergreens. Any advice, knowledge, or wisdom for making sure it stays healthy?

Might plant a few upright yew along the side of the house that sees a fair amount of shade.

I'm trying out this no-till technique this year for the garden.     (www.backtoedenfilm.com)

https://www.backtoedenfilm.com/

It keeps the weeds out and reduces the need for watering.

I put down a 30'x30' tarp over the winter to kill the grass. Then I put 4 inches of compost down and 4 inches of cedar mulch over that. I got the mulch from a tree service for free, they sometimes have trouble finding places to dump their tree trimmings so if you call one you can get it. I got the garden out a bit late but it is growing well right now. I'll let you know how it goes.

From the website:

BACK TO EDEN is a documentary about American gardener and arborist Paul Gautschi. Back to Eden is a no-dig gardening method that practices organic growing principles. The sustainable permaculture technique is simply to apply wood chips on the surface of soil to conserve water and regenerate the soil.

This one’s a small project. I made a goat; it’s the goat from Voat. I wasn’t sure what his name was, but I’m pretty sure that I saw “Popcorn” mentioned somewhere in a thread about names, and so here we are 🙂

Presenting… Popcorn the Goat!

And as always – the video time-lapse:

I’ve had a request for the pattern, so it can be downloaded here:

I really don't like striker pistols, with that shitty striker trigger and the dumb trigger safeties like they all have now.

I really like the CZ 75, and have shot one and loved it, but what's another good 9mm hammer pistol besides the Beretta 92?

Looking to get my CCW license within the next week or so. I've done a bit of research and decided that I'd like to go with a revolver. What are some good, reliable options in the $300-$500 price range? I've had my eye on the Rock Island M206, but would prefer to buy American if possible.

This was a test run with any easy recipe to see if my oven is worth a crap and if I’m up to it. I used a secondary thermometer, and my oven is off by 5-7 degrees.

Any jurisdiction can have a different outcome but case law is still case law. Also, the law holds human life more valuable than any given dog's life.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/atf-admits-secret-database-nearly-one-billion-gun-records

Today, Gun Owners of America announced that the ATF has nearly 1 Billion records of firearm purchases, with over 850 million of those records in digital format. These records contain all sorts of personal information on gun owners in addition to the gun they've purchased. Important personal information, including their names, addresses, place of birth, sometimes even social security numbers, can all be found on these records.
