It stood out to me because of the way it was designed to suss out less-than-honest test-takers.
In a way, buying cochineal products is helping the remaining farmers (usually family-based) keep the tradition alive, and if it helps them stay in their own countries, all the better.
And they're taking the same page from their playbook and emptying out the jails and insane asylums and putting those people in positions of power to enforce their masters' will.
This is the same CDC that refuses to list medical mistakes as a leading cause of deaths in the US.

This is the inevitable result in a world where an endless supply of humanoids are streaming across the border to the tune of thousands per day.
Your value to society is marginalized to the point where your survival depends on the treatment costing less than training your replacement.
Supply and demand is a real bitch.
In retrospect, they would have done better to have settled out of court with an NDA as part of the agreement.
Now, with the publicity that came with the case, they've painted a bullseye on their back for every opportunist to ever crawl upon the Earth.
God Lord, they really are a bunch of diversity-hire dumb-dumbs to think someone like Rand Paul would keep all their evidence in one place with no backups nor insurance deadmans.
All the Nazis who didn't die in the war either died of old age or soon will.
Imagine needing a frail, old man as the boogeyman to justify one's illicit misanthropy.
Upon further contemplation, how I would describe it is as an innate immune system much like what Voat has.
A society can react to an emergent threat, one that it's never encountered before, but only upon exposure and with time to develop a response, just like the one in our bodies.
In fact, I would argue that the Voat immune system is just a specialized extension of the primary social one, one specifically geared to deal with fags and shills.
Now, in regards to television, that was completely new and foreign to humanity, and Boomers had to be on the front line to be exposed to the cultural stresses and schisms it introduced, slowly and unwittingly developing mental mechanisms and norms to handle the stresses and conflicts television brought to bear upon the prevailing culture of the time, to be passed on and refined with each generation to come, but being the first, it was always going to be a case of, too little; too late, to save the Boomers.
Younger folks generally have a better grasp of reality versus fiction in that regard (although internet is an entirely different story, pun intended. Perhaps they will fill the shoes of their grandparents and develop an immune response to the web? But, nevertheless, they will still be Boomer-like in that they grew up with an emergent threat.)
I suppose it could be compared to Jung's collective unconscious, where humanity shares a set of primal archetypal concepts that has been continually developed and retained since our inception, passed on through genetic memory or what-have-you.
[i]The Devil's Black Box[/i] could be a new addition, built upon the idea that there exists a box, not unlike Pandora's, in which lurks great evil, and to not trust anything that comes out of it without first examining it thoroughly, and even then to suspend belief (or to not open it in the first place.)
And like Pandora, humanity could not understand the danger unless and until it experienced it.
Heh, that was the joke I made when we encountered that 15-minute city I mentioned: "If we had taken my truck, I would have driven around the barriers and construction and saved us all the hassle and wasted time."
