Yeah, common core is trying to induce abstract thought in kids. But not everyone is capable of abstract thought, which is why I make fun of anyone who says they can't understand common core math.
My kids do common core math, none of it is about hlw math makes them feel. It does have a lot of abstract playing with numbers and it seems designed to cause fights for parents and kids who can't abstract.
Common core wants people to look at numbers in a more abstract way. This leads to situations where nonabstract thinkers can't grok the concepts, it's just like the meme: "Now make a ten to solve the problem" "But there's no ten in the problem".
It'll bother them. The left assumes there are infinite money machines everywhere so when they say "door dash should just pay their workers more" or whatever, they don't realize their asking for higher prices.
I remember asking my exwife "When you look over and see me enjoying myself do you just get pissed?" And she stammers a bit and says "Well I just think you could be doing something more productive." Now I'm divorced and I'm happy as hell.

Cops have to scrape dead bodies off the roads. That's why they care about seatbelts, speeding, etc...

Cops have to scrape dead bodies off of the road. They'd like to do that less often.

Because they're the ones who have to scrape dead bodies off of the roads and they'd like to have to do that less often.

It's a free vending machine. The funny part is that the first people who walk by are going to take EVERYTHING and then try to sell it for crack money.

Yeah, I was thinking laundry too once I saw all the big kettles lined up. Sucks to fall into boiling bleach water.
