A Greens push for the age of criminal responsibility to be raised from 10 to 14 years of age has reignited the debate in South Australia,
(www.abc.net.au)https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-07-08/sa-push-to-raise-age-of-criminality/101221906"They need to be provided with therapeutic care and supervision, not locked up in a juvenile detention environment"
which of course will prevent the following from occurring again:
"On Thursday night, SA police arrested two girls — aged 10 and 11 — over an alleged assault of a 24-year-old woman.".
What if the anti-social behaviour is dropping rocks off a highway overpass. Will
therapeutic care and supervision prevent the offenders doing it again? Need to be pretty strict supervision.
Essentially we are licensing under 14 yo to run amuck. Wait till Victoria follows suit.
