Drive from Miles to Taroom on the Leichhardt Highway in Central Queensland and you will see what I mean, despite many graziers were sorry to see it go in the first place since it is excellent stock feed thru times of drought, whereas the plate sections had to be roasted to burn off the spines before it was fed to the cattle.
