1949 Duel Willy Rozier vs Francois Chalais     (www.youtube.com)

"Rozier challenged Chalais to the duel after brooding for months over the critic's assertion that a certain actress' "career was behind her."

"Rozier cut Chalais across the arm. Chalais, looking more wounded than he really was, dropped his sword when he felt the blade cutting across his flesh. He was not hurt seriously."

This concluded the matter.

(Chalais was continuously off balance and flails like a boy waving a stick.)

Sourdough Starter     (www.allrecipes.com)

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/8392/sourdough-starter/

This recipe makes a sourdough starter using flour, clean water, and yeast. After fermentation has occurred, keep the starter in a covered glass container in the refrigerator until ready to use for making bread. Sourdough starters improve with age as you feed them — pass on any sourdough discards to friends and family!

- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Additional Time: 4 days
- Total Time: 4 days 5 mins
- Servings: 15
- Yield: 3 cups

Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water

Directions

- Gather all ingredients.
- Place flour into a large, non-metallic bowl. Sprinkle yeast over top, pour in warm water, and mix to combine.
- Place the bowl on a cookie sheet; cover loosely and set in a warm place to ferment for 4 to 8 days. Depending on temperature and humidity, times may vary. The starter is ready when bubbly and pleasantly sour smelling. If it's colored at all (pink, orange, etc.), throw it out and start over.
- Enjoy!

Additional note:

To feed your starter: When you use any of the starter, always replace it with equal amounts of flour and water, along with an optional pinch of sugar. For instance, if you remove 1 cup starter, add 1 cup water and 1 cup flour to the remaining starter mixture. Mix until well combined and leave out on the counter until bubbly again before returning to the refrigerator.

If a clear or light brown liquid accumulates on top of your refrigerated starter, don't worry. This is an alcohol-based liquid that occurs with fermentation. Just stir it back into the starter before using.

I'm 25% body fat so I better start acting like it. That's what the BIA scale says. Obese.

Been trying out different things. If the machines aren't lieing, the elliptical is by far the easiest way to 'burn calories'. Stair machine seems the fastest.

Weighted vests can be used with a stair machine but even with an elliptical the bouncing motion causes the weight to double down on your shoulders. Made my shoulders hurt for like 25 minutes afterwards. Stair machine doesn't do that.

Weight vest will allow 300 calories to take 21 minutes instead of 24 on the elliptical... Stair machine can do this without the vest in 21, I believe 18 with the vest?

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/waste-day-unused-covid-quarantine-pods

Topline: Nashville spent $1.2 million to buy 108 quarantine housing pods in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, but the shelters were never used. Now the city plans to give 25 of them away to local nonprofits to be used as homeless shelters while covering the cost of renovating them.

they did alot of crap during CONvid, they even had plans for personally quarantine persons in pods lol

never forgive, never FORGET!

Can wait to get this 'body composition scale' in the mail. So tired of not knowing if a meal put the balance over the edge or certain workouts aren't enough.     (PimsGym)

Was starting to get discouraged because after a certain point it's hard to tell if you're still getting results or just pissing tons of effort into the wind.

After you put a certain amount of effort in to working out, you get to the point where you don't want to waste your efforts. It becomes easier to ie just tweak your diet than it it is to do 5 separate workouts per day instead of just 1.

Also maybe you're already past getting enough effort in ie but you don't know / can't see so you do unnecessarily 2-3x work.

However everybody's 'body' is different. You can't tell if your 'intake' is enough or the workouts are enough until you get measurements. Shit done right could be easy frankly.

"An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.”

These are two Men involved in an affair of honor.

Those are live blades and both combatants are deadly serious in their application.

1912 Epee Duel de Cassagnac vs Maurras - 2nd Viewpoint

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDxEewxnP2Y

The matter was resolved by the injury of Maurras' arm.

"De Cassagnac had disarmed him this time with a terrible forward movement which could not be checked, and if Maurras' arm had not protected him he would have been wounded very badly in the chest. His arm was seriously injured."

"This brought the combat to a close"
