My diabetes in my old age is wrecking a toe on my left foot. In my family, nobody dies with two feet. It's generational and always end with a massive heart attack (done, plus quadruple heart bypass). then a weakened heart unable to pump blood to the feet lets the rot begin. I am there now. I have a toe rotted to the bone.

So I dox myself, that is, I am taking Doxycycline in a probably futile effort to save the foot. Be lucky to only lose a toe. If the MRI comes back saying that the infection is gone deep, I will just go home with no surgery. I have already taken actions against the inevitable. Contacted all the relatives and and will be driving back to New Orleans to have agoing-away party. Everything is in the wifey's name. One the way back home (Florida) we will spend a day at Fort Walton Beach where that quartz crystal sand may freely enter the gaping wound and I intend to leave it there.

Donating my body to science to save on the cost of a friggin' funeral nad burial. And finally, I just want to say a fond farewell to all you wonderul goats. but was planning on making a thread sharing this experience that completely caught me by surprise and is the closest thing to a spiritual experience i have ever had. I live dead center of the path and i didnt think it was going to be a big deal before it happened. After seeing what i saw and feeling what i felt, it was easily one of the greatest experiences of my life and it completely caught me off guard. We homeschool our kids and we were just out in the yard hanging out and watching it begin through the glasses. But man, when totality hit, i tried to record it, and after about 20 seconds i just put my phone down because there was something just so captivating about the whole thing, and my inner voice said just said “no, just soak this up” and im glad i did. At the center if it you could see a twilight area 360deg around you. The planets were in view as well during all of this. You will never ever see a picture that shows you what i saw. The moon was surrounded by an indescribable bluish glow that felt electric and almost divine with the suns glow from behind. The solar flares that were visible were almost like looking at a super high res image on a computer screen. It was just surreal. Once the sun came back into view, the very first sliver made it seem like you were in a room with a somewhat dim lighbulb over in the corner. That then got progressively brighter and then all seemed normal. I never in a million years expected to feel the way i felt during and after that. Ive been near eclipses before with some varying degrees of darkness but never like this. Cool stuff. Really cool stuff.

What insanity is there in the medical field that they still believe in a seasonal flu shot that doesn't work for shit and they have no clue if the variant they are trying to protect is the one that makes it to the USA.

I'll tell you what else I've realized is they all have mild schizophrenia. That's explains why they see things and imagine things that aren't there that have happened to them. We know that they suffer from full-blown schizophrenia far more than most people but I think what's grossly under counted is the fact that they all have mild schizophrenia and they see s*** that doesn't actually happen. This is why they can go off on rants about things that do not happen but they actually believe it that's why they sound so convincing when they're talking. And that's what fools the rest of us is they sound convincing when they're telling something that's untrue and I believe it's because they actually believe it most of the time.

The strange thing is is they're particular afflictions actually serve them very well for the short term. After all anybody who has a brain defect that always thinks they're not getting enough and always pushes for more is going to end up with more until people get tired of them and put them out of their reach somehow.
