Maryland High School Athletic Director Arrested for Framing Principal as Racist Using AI     (www.breitbart.com)

submitted by MasterSuppressionTechnique to news 6 days ago

A Maryland high school athletic director was arrested on Thursday under suspicion of using artificial intelligence (AI) to frame his principal as a racist. He was apprehended at an airport while checking regulations for flying with a firearm.

Pikesville High School (PHS) Principal Eric Eiswert was removed from his position and inundated with harassment after an audio recording of him supposedly going on a rant about black and Jewish people in the school system made rounds on social media in January, the Baltimore Banner reported.

The voice in the audio referred to “ungrateful black kids who can’t test their way out of a paper bag” and said, “If I have to get one more complaint from one more Jew in this community, I’m going to join the other side.”

The recording also named multiple faculty members who should be fired, including athletic director Dazhon “D.J.” Darien, whom the voice threatened to “drag his black ass out of here one way or another.”

While Eiswert denied that he made those offensive remarks, many students, community members, and even PHS staff believed he was the voice behind the recording.

After the audio garnered attention online, both Baltimore County Public Schools and Baltimore County Police launched investigations into the matter.

Charging documents obtained by the local outlet allege that Darien searched for AI tools that could falsify vocal recordings on the school’s network in December and January, and he was the owner of an email account that distributed the clip.

According to investigators, three teachers were in possession of the clip the night before it went viral; the first was Darien, the second was Shaena Ravenell, and the third was someone who said that Darien and Ravenell sent it to her.

Ravenell told police that she sent the clip to media outlets, the NAACP, and a student “who she knew would rapidly spread the message around various social media outlets and throughout the school.”

“She did not mention receiving it from Darien until confronted about his involvement,” reported the Banner, which noted that she has not been charged with a crime for her connection to the case.

“The audio clip … had profound repercussions,” police wrote in charging documents for Darien. “It not only led to Eiswert’s temporary removal from the school but also triggered a wave of hate-filled messages on social media and numerous calls to the school. The recording also caused significant disruptions for the PHS staff and students.”

Investigators believe that Darien used AI to fabricate the comments in order to retaliate against Eiswert for initiating an investigation into improper payments he allegedly made to another school coach, who was also his roommate.

That investigation began in December, with police saying that Darien sent $1,916 from the school’s payroll system to the junior varsity basketball coach under the pretense that he was also an assistant girls’ soccer coach — he was not.

A warrant was issued for Darien’s arrest on Wednesday, and he was apprehended the next morning at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport with tickets to fly to Houston, Texas.

The arrest was made after Darien was stopped by airport security and questioned whether he had properly packed his gun for travel, Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough told reporters.

When security ran his name through police records, the warrant popped up, and he was taken into custody.

Darien has since been charged with disrupting school activities, theft, retaliation against a witness, and stalking.

“We now have conclusive evidence that the recording was not authentic,” McCullough said during the Thursday press briefing, according to NBC News. “It’s been determined the recording was generated through the use of artificial intelligence technology.”

The chief “stopped short” of saying whether Darien was attempting to flee, the outlet noted.

“As you could imagine, this has been a very difficult time for [the] Pikesville High School community, principal Eiswert, and his family,” Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Myriam Rogers said.

Eiswert has not been working at PHS since the investigation began and is not returning for the remainder of the school year. Rogers said the district will work with him to determine his duties for next semester.

She added that district officials have recommended that Darien be terminated, but both he and Ravenell had already submitted their resignations as of April 16, according to the Banner. The end date for both of their jobs within the school system is set for June 30.

When the audio was presumed to be real in January, Rogers called it “disturbing” and said it contained “highly offensive and inappropriate statements about African American students, Pikesville High School staff, and Pikesville’s Jewish community.”

Billy Burke, head of the Council of Administrative & Supervisory Employees (CASE) — the local union Eiswert belongs to — was the only official to point out that the clip may have been AI-generated.

During a January school board meeting, Burke voiced his disappointment that others had automatically assumed that Eiswert made those remarks and said that the principal had police guarding his home due to the harassment and threats his family had received.

Burke said that he had also received harassing emails at the time.

“I continue to be concerned about the damage these actions have caused for Principal Eiswert, his family, the students and staff of Pikesville High School, and the black and Jewish community members,” the union head said in a statement on Thursday. “I hope there is deliberate action to heal the trauma caused by the fake audio and that all people can feel restored.”

Police said that PHS had to increase police presence on campus after school faculty brought forth safety concerns due to the backlash from the clip.

Believing that the audio was authentic, police stated that teachers “expressed fears that recording devices could have been planted in various places in the school.”

“The recording’s release deeply affected the trust between teachers and the administration,” police said. “One individual shared that they fielded sensitive phone calls in their vehicle in the parking lot instead of speaking in school.”

Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger said this is the first case involving an AI-faked audio recording that his district has prosecuted and one of the first of its kind in the entire nation.

”It seems very clear to me that we may need to make our way down to Annapolis in the legislature next year to make some adaptions to bring the law up to date with the technology that was being used,” he said.

Johnny Olszewski Jr., a Baltimore County executive, called the recent advancements in AI technology “deeply concerning” and stated people should stay vigilant in investigating those who use it for malice.

He added that there should be greater investments made into methods to identify faked audio recordings.

Cindy Sexton, president of the Teachers Association of Baltimore County, added that the National Education Association is working on addressing the AI concerns, but something more should be done.

“We have to do something as a society, but ‘what is that something’ is of course the big question,” Sexton said

Profluent Successfully Edits Human Genome with OpenCRISPR-1, the World’s First AI-Created and Open-Source Gene Editor     (www.businesswire.com)

submitted by MasterSuppressionTechnique to technology 1 week ago

Profluent, the AI-first protein design company, today debuted the OpenCRISPRTM initiative, releasing the world’s first open-source, AI-generated gene editor. With this launch, Profluent demonstrates the first successful precision editing of the human genome with customizable gene editors designed from scratch with AI.

OpenCRISPR-1 is an AI-created gene editor, consisting of a Cas9-like protein and guide RNA, fully developed using Profluent’s large language models (LLMs). Through the training process for OpenCRISPR, the company’s AI learned from massive scale sequence and biological context to generate millions of diverse CRISPR-like proteins that do not occur in nature, thereby exponentially expanding virtually all known CRISPR families.

In its commitment to democratizing the technology, Profluent has launched OpenCRISPR-1 as an initial open-source release, making the AI-designed gene editor freely available to license for ethical research and commercial uses.

“Attempting to edit human DNA with an AI-designed biological system was a scientific moonshot,” said Ali Madani, Profluent co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Our success points to a future where AI precisely designs what is needed to create a range of bespoke cures for disease. To spur innovation and democratization in gene editing, with the goal of pulling this future forward, we are open-sourcing the products of this initiative.”

Profluent’s hope is that CRISPR medicines become available to more patients who may benefit, and for a broader range of disorders. The unique power of AI is that it enables researchers to reimagine and build gene editing systems from the ground up, which would be impossible with conventional protein engineering methods. By growing the universe of CRISPR families and releasing foundational molecules that can be further built upon, this application of AI paves the way to greater access and lower costs for gene editing therapies.

“It’s phenomenal that the first CRISPR-based treatments for genetic diseases such as sickle cell disease are already changing the lives of patients, but there remains an urgent need to accelerate the development of this technology for thousands of other currently incurable diseases,” said Hilary Eaton, Chief Business Officer at Profluent. “Our intention with OpenCRISPR is to partner with cutting-edge research institutions and drug developers with a powerful and practical way to safely expedite the development of new CRISPR genetic therapies.”

“Today’s announcement is a watershed moment and the beginning of what we hope will be an iterative process as we embark on this next generation of building genetic medicines,” said Peter Cameron, Vice President and Head of Gene Editing at Profluent. “We encourage the gene editing community to pressure test OpenCRISPR-1. If there are particular features that could be improved for a specific application, we’d like to know and can collaborate to optimize those properties.”

Profluent has published the science behind its OpenCRISPR initiative in a preprint publication. In adherence to ethical standards, the company's OpenCRISPR license will contain certain excluded uses, such as human germline editing. For more details on OpenCRISPR, visit https://www.profluent.bio.

FBI Records Indicate Fauci Agency Funded Gain-of-Function Wuhan Lab Research ‘Would leave no signatures of purposeful human manipulation’     (www.judicialwatch.org)

submitted by MasterSuppressionTechnique to news 1 week ago

Judicial Watch announced today it received 5 pages of records from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that show an April 2020 email exchange with several officials in the bureau’s Newark Field Office referring to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) grant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China as including “gain-of-function research” which “would leave no signature of purposeful human manipulation.”

Judicial Watch obtained the records in response to a May 17, 2023, FOIA request for: emails and text messages of the Newark Field Office, including to Special Agent David A. Miller, containing the terms “gain of function,” “GoF,” “R01A|110964,” and/or “EcoHealth.” Judicial Watch sent the FOIA request to follow up on uncovering the FBI Newark Field Office’s investigation of the Fauci agency’s gain-of-function grants after the Covid-19 pandemic began.

On April 23, 2020, an email exchange with the subject “Follow up call” takes place between several unnamed Newark Field Office FBI officials. A person whose name is redacted writes:

Details of the current NIAID [Fauci’s National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases] grant for WIV [Wuhan Institute of Virology] bat coronavirus surveillance and WIV bat coronavirus gain-of-function research are available at: https://projectreporter.nih.gov/project_info_description.cfm?aid=9819304&icde=49645421&ddparam=&ddvalue=&ddsub=&cr=1&csb=default&cs=ASC&pball= [summary of NIH grant to EcoHealth Alliance for Project 2R01AI110964-06]. The key activity for bat coronavirus surveillance is ‘Aim 1 … We will sequence receptor binding domains (spike proteins) to identify viruses with the highest potential for spillover which we will include in our experimental investigations. (Aim 3).’

The key activity for bat coronavirus gain of function is “Aim 3 … We will use S protein sequence data, infectious clone technology, in vitro and in vivo infection experiments and analysis of receptor binding to test the hypothesis that 0/0 divergence thresholds in S protein sequences predict spillover potential.” Translated into lay language, this equates to: “In Aim 3, we will use de novo synthesis to construct novel viruses encoding different spike proteins in an otherwise-constant genomic context, and we will test the ability of the resulting novel viruses to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals. We hypothesize that there is a direct correlation between the receptor binding affinity of the spike protein and the abilities to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals. We will test this hypothesis by asking whether novel viruses encoding spike proteins with the highest receptor-binding affinity have the highest abilities to infect human cells in culture and to infect laboratory animals.”

The reason I am writing is that the experimental strategy proposed in Aim 3 (“infectious clone technology”), if performed using commercial or in-house gene synthesis to prepare the infectious clones, *** would leave no signatures of purposeful human manipulation***.

A colleague replies:

Hey, are you going to be in office tomorrow? We just interviewed our person from [redacted] again and he provided us with some alarming new info. Give me call if you can.

The email thread is then forwarded by the Newark Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge-National Security Branch (ASAC-NSB), whose name is redacted, to then-special agent in charge of the Newark Field Office, Gregory Ehrie:

This is interesting. I’m following up with the squad tomorrow morning.

Ehrie replies:

[Redacted] Details when you can.

“These smoking gun documents showed the FBI quickly understood that Fauci’s agency funded the gain-of-function research that could disguise the resulting coronavirus as ‘natural,’” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “These new documents further demonstrate the need for a comprehensive criminal investigation into Fauci’s gain-of-function scandal.”

Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuits and investigations have uncovered much of what the public knows about many Covid-19 controversies:

Emails between U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and top Facebook executives in 2021 regarding the censorship of user posts about Covid controversies showed Facebook leadership seeking to “better understand the scope of what the White House expects from us on misinformation going forward.”
Records from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showed that a Pfizer study surveyed 23 people in 2021 to gauge reactions to its Covid vaccine booster before asking the FDA to approve it.
Records from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) included the initial grant application and annual reports to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from EcoHealth Alliance, describing the aim of its work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology to create mutant viruses “to better predict the capacity of our CoVs [coronaviruses] to infect people.”
HHS records included emails of then-Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Francis Collins showing a British physicians’ group recommended the use of Ivermectin to prevent and treat Covid-19.
Heavily redacted HHS records showed that just two days prior to FDA approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine a discussion was held between U.S. and UK health regulators regarding the Covid shot and “anaphylaxis,” with the regulators emphasizing their “mutual confidentiality agreement.”
Judicial Watch obtained HHS records regarding data Moderna submitted to the FDA on its mRNA Covid-19 vaccine, which indicated a “statistically significant” number of rats were born with skeletal deformations after their mothers were injected with the vaccine. The documents also revealed Moderna elected not to conduct a number of standard pharmacological studies on the laboratory test animals.
Heavily redacted records from the FDA regarding the Covid-19 booster vaccine detailed pressure on Covid booster use and approval.
HHS records detailed internal discussions about myocarditis and the Covid vaccine. Other documents detailed adverse “events for which a contributory effect of the vaccine could not be excluded.”
Judicial Watch uncovered HHS records detailing the extensive media plans for a Biden administration propaganda campaign to push the Covid-19 vaccine.
HHS records revealed previously redacted locations of Covid-19 vaccine testing facilities in Shanghai, China. The FDA had claimed the name and location of the testing facilities were protected by the confidential commercial information exemption of the FOIA.
NIH records showed an FBI “inquiry” into the NIH’s controversial bat coronavirus grant tied to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The records also showed National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) officials were concerned about “gain-of-function” research in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2016. The Fauci agency was also concerned about EcoHealth Alliance’s lack of compliance with reporting rules and use of gain-of-function research in the NIH-funded research involving bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, China.
Texas Public Information Act (PIA) records showed the former director of the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Dr. James W. Le Duc, warned Chinese researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology of potential investigations into the Covid issue by Congress.
HHS records regarding biodistribution studies and related data for the Covid-19 vaccines showed how a key component of the vaccines developed by Pfizer/BioNTech, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), were found outside the injection site, mainly the liver, adrenal glands, spleen and ovaries of test animals, eight to 48 hours after injection.
Records obtained from HHS through a FOIA lawsuit related to hydroxychloroquine and Covid-19 revealed that a grant to EcoHealth Alliance was cancelled because of press reports that a portion of the grant was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
HHS records revealed that from 2014 to 2019, $826,277 was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research by the NIAID.
NIAID records showed that it gave nine China-related grants to EcoHealth Alliance to research coronavirus emergence in bats and was the NIH’s top issuer of grants to the Wuhan lab itself. The records also included an email from the vice director of the Wuhan Lab asking an NIH official for help finding disinfectants for decontamination of airtight suits and indoor surfaces.
HHS records included an “urgent for Dr. Fauci” email chain, citing ties between the Wuhan lab and the taxpayer-funded EcoHealth Alliance. The government emails also reported that the foundation of U.S. billionaire Bill Gates worked closely with the Chinese government to pave the way for Chinese-produced medications to be sold outside China and help “raise China’s voice of governance by placing representatives from China on important international counsels as high level commitment from China.”
Judicial Watch’s four-part documentary regarding the coordinated effort by the government and Big Tech to censor and suppress information on topics such as Hunter Biden’s laptop, Covid-19, and election debates is available here.

United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, reported that his department has an open investigation into alleged human rights violations by Israel. He also denied having double standards when investigating his ally.

The head of US diplomacy expressed this during a press conference to present the State Department's annual report on the situation of human rights worldwide.

“We are analyzing reports of incidents that came to our attention and we have our procedures, particularly if US weapons are involved,” he said.

Blinken said the investigation is “ongoing” and stressed the importance of the State Department taking the time necessary to do a correct analysis and reach a conclusion.

“When we have collected the facts and are able to do the analysis, we will release our findings,” he explained.

The Secretary of State also denied that he has a “double standard” when it comes to investigating an ally such as Israel and promised that “the same standard applies to everyone and that this does not change if the country in question is an adversary or a friend".

In the coming days, Blinken is expected to announce sanctions against the ultra-Orthodox Netzah Yehuda battalion for possible human rights violations in the occupied West Bank.

US law prohibits providing foreign aid to military units responsible for human rights violations.

Belgian man whose body produces alcohol cleared of drunk-driving     (www.standard.co.uk)

A Belgian man with a condition that causes his body to naturally produce alcohol has been cleared of drunk-driving.

Auto-brewery syndrome (ABS) is an extremely rare condition whereby the body produces alcohol due to high levels of ethanol in the blood.

The man’s lawyer Anse Ghesquiere said that just 20 people globally have been officially diagnosed with the condition.

The man, whose identity was not given, also works at a brewery.

Three doctors who examined the man confirmed that he had ABS, Ms Ghesquiere said.

The Bruges police court acquitted the man on Monday.

Belgian media said that the judge had emphasised that the defendant had not been intoxicated in his ruling.

Lisa Florin, a clinical biologist with the Belgian hospital AZ Sint-Lucas, said people with ABS produced the same type of alcohol as found in alcoholic drinks but that they generally felt less of its effects.

However, patients with ABS can sometimes present with the same symptoms as drunkenness, including slurred speech, stumbling, loss of motor functions and dizziness.

ABS can lead people to fail breathalyser tests and cause legal consequences for sufferers.

The rare condition, also known as gut fermentation syndrome, was first documented in the 1970s in Japan. It is caused by an unusually high concentration of yeast in the stomach.

Researchers have not yet discovered how yeast is able to set up colonies in the human gut. However, it is thought that yeast concentrations could appear after an infection.

In 2015, drunken driving charges against a woman in upstate New York were dismissed after she was discovered to have ABS.

A Peruvian psychologist who had an incurable disease that weakened her muscles and left her bedridden for several years died by euthanasia, her lawyer said Monday, becoming the first person in the country to obtain the right to die with medical assistance.

Ana Estrada fought for years in Peruvian courts for the right to die with dignity, and became a celebrity in the conservative country where euthanasia and assisted suicide are illegal.

In 2022, Estrada was granted an exception by the nation’s Supreme Court, which upheld a ruling by a lower court that gave Estrada the right to decide when to end her life, and said that those who helped her would not be punished. Estrada became the first person to obtain the right to die with medical assistance in Peru.

“Ana’s struggle for her right to die with dignity has helped to educate thousands of Peruvians about this right and the importance of defending it,” her lawyer, Josefina Miró Quesada, said in a statement. “Her struggle transcended our nation’s borders.”

Estrada, 47, had an incurable disease called polymyositis that wastes away muscles. She began to present the first symptoms as a teenager and started to use a wheelchair at the age of 20 because she had lost the strength to walk.

UK police charge two men with spying for China including MP researcher     (www.channelnewsasia.com)

submitted by MasterSuppressionTechnique to Intelligence 1 week ago

British police on Monday (Apr 22) charged two men with spying for China, including one reported to have worked as a researcher in Britain's parliament for a prominent lawmaker in the governing Conservative Party.

Anxiety has mounted across Europe about China’s alleged espionage activity and Britain has become increasingly vocal about its concerns in recent months.

The two men, aged 32 and 29, were charged with providing prejudicial information to China in breach of the Official Secrets Act and will appear in court on Friday.

"This has been an extremely complex investigation into what are very serious allegations," said Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Counter Terrorism Command at the Metropolitan Police.

The Chinese embassy in London said the allegation that China was trying to steal British intelligence was "completely fabricated".

"We firmly oppose it and urge the UK side to stop anti-China political manipulation and stop putting on such self-staged political farce," an embassy spokesperson said in a statement.

CHRISTOPHER CASH NAMED BY POLICE
One of the men was named by police on Monday as Christopher Cash.

In September, the Sunday Times reported that Cash had been arrested for spying while working as a researcher in parliament for Conservative lawmaker Alicia Kearns, chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

A Christopher Cash was listed on parliamentary documents from early 2023 as working for Kearns.

In September, a lawyer for the arrested man issued a statement denying the accusations of spying without confirming the identity of their client. The same legal firm did not provide a statement on Monday when contacted by Reuters.

Cash does not have publicly available contact details and could not immediately be reached for comment.

UK ACCUSED CHINA OF STEALING ELECTION DATA
Last month, the British government summoned the chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in London after accusing Chinese state-backed hackers of stealing data from Britain's elections watchdog and carrying out a surveillance operation against parliamentarians.

China denied those allegations, calling them "completely fabricated".

The government also said in September that Chinese spies were targeting British officials in sensitive positions in politics, defence and business as part of an increasingly sophisticated spying operation to gain access to secrets.

Separately, Germany on Monday said it had arrested three people on suspicion of working with the Chinese secret service to hand over technology that could be used for military purposes.

A woman in her 60s has died following another violent incident involving public transportation in Los Angeles.

The latest incident occurred around 5 a.m. Monday morning. The victim was stabbed on the southbound train before exiting at the Universal City B Line Station at 3901 Lankershim Blvd, close to the major tourist attraction, Universal Studios.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Elliot Tramel Nowden. The 45-year-old is unhoused and has been charged with murder and is being held on $2 million bail.

According to LAPD, Nowden stabbed the victim in the throat using two small kitchen knives. The women got off the train while bleeding profusely at the station, and Nowden exited right after.

He fled the scene, but a combination of surveillance cameras and witness descriptions about the suspect and his distinctive clothing helped officers locate and arrest him a short time later near Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue.

Authorities say Nowden and the victim did not know each other.

“This does appear to be completely unprovoked from what witnesses have told detectives,” LAPD Det. Meghan Aguilar to KTLA 5’s Rachel Menitoff. “There was no altercation prior to this violent attack.”

Investigators say they strongly believe that there are additional victims who have been assaulted by Nowden.

Train service was halted for several hours as officers investigated at the Studio City station. A bus bridge service was available to riders between the North Hollywood and Hollywood-Highland stations, L.A. Metro spokesperson Dave Sotero said.

Some Metro riders say they have an elevated sense of fear when using public transportation.

“I take Metro every day and it’s gotten worse and worse,” Studio City resident Jackinman told KTLA. “It used to be that it was downtown only, but it’s come all the way out to the valley.”

Metro released a statement about the incident.

“The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital where, unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. Metro extends its condolences to her family and friends,” the statement says.

Although there have been numerous deadly incidents in recent months aboard trains and buses, statistics show that passenger crime has dropped by roughly 10% compared to a year ago, according to Metro.

Denver and other Colorado communities have transformed schools into welfare agencies as tens of thousands of children of illegal border crossers flood into the state’s schools, where they get free food, clothing, shoes, healthcare, and education at taxpayers’ expense.

The Washington Post reported the transformation of the Centennial State’s schools from educational facilities to full-on welfare agencies where kids of all ages — many of whom have never gone to school in their entire lives — are enrolled by the thousands.

The paper began its story by talking about eleven-year-old Alberto, who was enrolled in a school in Aurora, Colorado. At eleven, Alberto had never attended school and spoke no English. Despite this, Alberto has been shoehorned into fourth grade even though his presence brings down everyone in the classroom because he has no educational basis to be in fourth grade.

The Post adds that more than 2,800 children of illegals have flooded the Aurora school system. Aurora is far from alone. Denver, the state’s largest school system, has been inundated with more than 3,700 children of illegals just over the course of the 2023-2024 school year.

Denver, the paper adds, usually welcomes about 500 children of illegals a year, but, in the past year, that number has skyrocketed to 250 every week, as President Joe Biden’s border crisis continues.

The influx is a serious burden on teachers.

“When you have 17 kids in your classroom, and then the next day you have 35, you’re basically starting over,” said Janine Dillabaugh, the principal of Eagleton Elementary in Denver, according to the Christian Science Monitor. Beyond academic support, she says, “We also have to attend to their social and emotional needs.”

“Emotional needs” means discipline issues, violence, and acting out by frustrated students who have never been required to go to school in their home countries, the Post added.

The schools have been overburdened with children far below age-appropriate educational levels and who speak very little or no English, forcing schools to search for bilingual teachers.

It is not just Spanish-speaking teachers they need, either. The current bilingual curriculum Colorado’s schools have instituted is generally Spanish-English, but, thanks to Biden’s wide-open border, the schools are finding more than a dozen languages being spoken by the children of illegals flooding Colorado, including Afghan, Chinese, various African dialects, languages from East Asia, and many more.

Even as the schools scramble to create bilingual programs to serve the many languages, many of these children are also arriving at schools with a dearth of appropriate clothing and even with untreated medical issues. These issues have turned the schools into miniature welfare agencies where kids — and sometimes even their parents — are handed a full service that takes care of all their needs in life.

One woman from Venezuela happily told the paper that she gets “everything” from the Aurora school her son attends.

“This is the only place I feel supported,” she chirped. “Clothes, WiFi, food, shoes — they help with everything.”

She even got free dental care thanks to efforts by school staffers, the Post reported.

Another alarming trend the Post reported is that Colorado schools are so desperate for bilingual teachers that they are working to hire immigrants who may have been teachers in their home countries. That means teachers who were trained in foreign teaching practices — many in communist, socialist, or other decidedly anti-American countries — will now be put in American classrooms to teach children who will later be disgorged into American society.

School budgets have also snapped from the strain, and many districts are demanding more money as illegals flood their classrooms. Some feel the federal government should step up, but this burden mostly falls on local taxpayers who are forced to foot the bill at the local level with higher taxes and cuts in services to legal residents.

Certainly, the issue is only getting worse month by month, not better, and American schools are being dragged under as Biden’s tidal wave of illegals grows.
