"Dumb Ways to Die is an Australian public awareness campaign video and media franchise made by Metro Trains in Melbourne, Victoria to promote railway safety. The original cartoon public service announcement for the awareness campaign went viral on social media after it was released on the internet in November 2012, amassing over 320 million views on YouTube."
So it's not really so old and it's a good fit in the sub HUMOROUSMUSIC. Why this triggers you I cannot imagine. For the last 130 years many musicians recorded funny, silly and oddball songs to make people chuckle and hopefully to earn money selling records.
Now please do me a favor, if you will. Try to think up a song you consider humorous and post it in this sub. Some songs must have seemed funny in your lifetime. Please share them with all the rest of us.
Second, DE is great for human consumption. Gentle laxative, cleans out the tough spots in the colon. Plus, it improves skin, ends acne, strengthens bones (a lot) and teeth, prevents hair loss and hair discoloration. Never go gray with one teaspoon a week in liquid (never dry!).
From the movie, Up In Smoke. As a teen, I found out that this movie was the favorite movie of my uptight Republican law and order parents. Still cannot figure this out.
Yes. When both Bruce SpringSTEEN and Rick springFIELD were charting at the same time, you can bet this was a funny cohencidence in music circles. Thank goodness Rick could laugh about it and turn it into a song.
jewdar warning and nog warning: Almost every singer, and almost every member of every band you've ever heard was a jew or a nigger. Yes, Ray Stevens is a jew. If you like music, get over it.
This is a Ray Stevens song from 1962. He wrote it and was his second top 40 hit. It reached number five on Billboard's Hot 100 and number nine on the Billboard R&B chart. It remains one of the best-selling records of Stevens' career.
Aaaaaactually, record say that the Khazarians were a nomadic Turkic people who, in the late 6th century AD, establishing a major commercial empire covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia, southern Ukraine, Crimea, and Kazakhstan.
The ruling elite of the Khazars was said by Judah Halevi and Abraham ibn Daud to have converted to Rabbinic Judaism in the 8th century, but the scope of the conversion to Judaism within the Khazar Khanate remains uncertain. The late 19th century saw the emergence of a theory that the core of today's Ashkenazi Jews are descended from a hypothetical Khazarian Jewish diaspora that migrated westward from modern-day Russia and Ukraine into modern-day France and Germany.
After their conversion it is reported that they adopted the Hebrew script. Also, look at some names her: According to the Schechter Text, the Khazar ruler King (((Benjamin))), son of (((King Menahem))) fought a battle against the allied forces of five lands whose moves were perhaps encouraged by Byzantium. Although Benjamin was victorious, his son (((Aaron))) II faced another invasion, suffering losses. Also this: The Khazar rulers closed the passage down the Volga to the Rus', sparking a war. In the early 960s, Khazar ruler (((Joseph))) wrote to Hasdai ibn Shaprut about the deterioration of Khazar relations with the Rus'.
>It's all there. Khazars converted to judaism, took jewish names and lived in and around Ukraine. When their empire fell, they changed their name to Ashkenazi for their own reasons*. Centuries later, when Genghis Khan started pushing, many fled into other European nations.
*The Karaite philologist David ben Abraham al-Fāsi, writing around the turn of the millennium, identified Ashkenaz as the ancestor of the Khazars.
Not sure if I want to take this on. Most people are Churchitarians. I got my education in London 1978-1979 at the Orange Street Congregational Church. They teach what is called British-Israelism. I only joined because of a cute redhead. Years later, I met a an old man in California teaching a clarification of British-Israelism, and being a bit older, I got interested. Still can't stand going to regular churches. Will post a good link more in line with my interests and my central theme should I do the deed.
The Peacock Throne was the greatest ever made. Cost twice as much to make as the Taj Mahal. Has the two largest cut diamonds in it plus every kind of precious jewel. Sadly, it was destroyed long ago by idiots who haqd just killed the Shah, then grabbed up the pieces to split between themselves.
The white haired host at the beginning of the video was the notorious Jimmy Savile. Wikipedia states:
Sir James Wilson Vincent Savile (/ˈsævɪl/; 31 October 1926 – 29 October 2011) was an English media personality and DJ. He was known for his eccentric image, charitable work, and hosting the BBC shows Top of the Pops and Jim'll Fix It. After his death, hundreds of allegations of sexual abuse made against him were investigated, tarnishing his reputation and leading the police to conclude that he was a predatory sex offender.
Savile provided children to the royal family and all the wealthy and powerful perverts. The queen Knighted him for 'services rendered'. Wikipedia downplays his story to protect the reputations of his wealthy clients.
Many funny songs go way back, but this was from much more recent times. Just popped in my head. Fun sharing this and the other whimsical and silly songs. It a break from all the usual heartache and despair on UpGoat.
