Beautiful day. Found my digital Walkman from 2008     (technology)

I lost my digital Walkman many years ago. After that, iTunes was discontinued, so I never bought another Walkman.

Today I found it. Cleaned and charged. Everything works like new. The glorious Walkman is Sony NWZ-A828.

For all these years I was only listening streaming radios.

Today I was blown away by the sound quality of AAC non compressed codec with CD bitrate quality sound.

Lucky for me, my Walkman has more than 600 songs from 80s & 90s stored. I'm having a really great day. I forgot how beautiful non compressed music is, especially from 80's & 90's, it has even stereo effects.

P.S. Fuck modern junk muisc and low bit rate streaming radios junk.

A mass produced TV with some AI steaming abilities.

Example: I am watching a tv show called stranger things, there is a black kid in it that ruins all the work that went into creating the show. All the 80's music, vehicles, clothing etc. In 2025 there should be a AI function on the tv/monitor to detect sunburned actors and change them to honkeys. Do it on the fly, heck just detect it and place a jpg overlay of your choice when it comes to such scene automatically.

Come on guys.

Spotify allows anybody to add music tracks. Is it possible to get infected by malware from these random tracks added by unknown users?

Microsoft has pause construction on a lot of new data centers for AI and has canceled leases on some others. Apple bastards killed the iTunes     (technology)

Apple bastards killed the iTunes merely for more profit. They know most people are low IQ idiots.

Instead of complete freedom of iTunes, with a free software and only pay for buy, now they offer retarded subscription for music you don't own.

Also, iTunes allowed to buy loseless Hi-Fi music, streaming junk can offer only junk quality. iTunes allowed managing your music for 100% on every device of your choice.

Nobody intelligent will pay for subscription if it's possible to pay once. This is why itunes was discontinued mainly. Corporations don't care about the best products, they only care how to force people pay more, even with less quality.

If i were rich like elon musk, i would buy iTunes and make it great again. I bet many people are still angry that it was discontinued.

I even know how to make perfect marketing. Like the Apple 1984 commercial. Slaves paying subscription, with a free man choosing free iTunes.

The slogan would be i would say "Don't follow commonplaces, follow common sense".

Would you go back to iTunes if possible?

Grok AI started using DeepSeek AI's UI     (technology)

Grok AI started using DeepSeek AI's UI. The UI is designed for text writing from right to left in Chinese. Musk didn't bother to switch it to from left to right to fit Western writing. I knew he is an idiot savant, but he keeps hitting the bottom of idiocy every fucking time.

Check them both with identical Chinese UI:

Help finding who owns the SBS brand     (technology)

I was told that SBS is a reliebale brand. They sell accessories for electronics, like USB adapters, USB cables, wall chargers, etc for computers and smartphones.

I can't find info for this company.

Only one site called SBS Mobile.

https://www.sbsmobile.com/gbr/en/

I've never heard of them, and don't know why I was told they are a reliable quality brand.

Best and worst design for Windows version?     (technology)

Best was Windows 7. Everything was iintuitive and easy to find. Plus the UI was beautiful. I really hoped they would never change it.

Worst was Windows Vista. The uglies son of bitch possible. It felt like it was made by some degenrate on drugs with no sense of aesthetics.

Need advice for new electric kettle     (technology)
submitted by Conspirologist to technology 2 months ago (+1/-1)
3 comments last comment...
I've bought a new electric kettle. Severin WK 3472. It's supposed to be a quality brand made in Germany.

This mini kettle is very small. Only 0,5 Liters.

It has two weird issues. Smell of rubber from the glass tank. Steam on the glass tank after boiling even with the lid open that stays forever.

All my previous electric kettle never had this issues. No smell at all, and no steam at all right after boiling water, even with the lid closed.

Anybody else who has a kettle this small, can confirm if this is normal, or if my kettle is defective?

List of popular secondary scanners for emergency     (technology)

Malwarebytes has gained significant popularity due to its specialized focus on detecting and removing malware, including emerging threats that traditional antivirus might miss. It has a strong user base among both individual consumers and businesses, often recommended for its effectiveness against ransomware and other complex threats.

HitmanPro is also well-regarded, particularly for its second-opinion scanning capability. It's often used by tech-savvy users or IT professionals who need an additional layer of security scanning to confirm the health of a system. HitmanPro's reputation for catching malware that other scanners miss has made it a popular choice for thorough system checks.

Emsisoft Emergency Kit: This is a free, portable tool that uses dual-engine scanning (Emsisoft and Bitdefender) to detect and remove malware. It's highly regarded for its effectiveness and is often used as a second-opinion scanner.

Zemana Anti-Malware: Known for its cloud-based scanning technology, Zemana can be used as a secondary scanner. It's particularly praised for its ability to remove rootkits, bootkits, and other persistent threats.

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool: This is a free utility from Kaspersky that provides a powerful scan for malware. It's not a real-time protection tool but serves well for on-demand scanning, especially for stubborn threats.

Norton Power Eraser: Offered by Norton, this is a free tool designed to tackle tough malware that might have evaded regular antivirus programs. It's aggressive in its approach and can be used for a second opinion.

ESET Online Scanner: ESET provides a free, online-based scanner that works alongside your existing antivirus. It's known for its thorough malware detection capabilities.

Sophos Scan & Clean: Similar to HitmanPro, as it's now part of the Sophos suite, this tool provides effective malware scanning and removal, utilizing multiple antivirus engines.

AdwCleaner: While more focused on adware, PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), and browser hijackers, it's an excellent tool for cleaning up specific types of unwanted software that might be missed by other scanners.

F-Secure Online Scanner: This is another free tool that can be used for a one-time scan to check for malware that might have evaded your primary antivirus.
