The Alan Parsons Project - Time     (music)

I've been on an "oldies" kick recently with ELP and Gordon Lightfoot etc. and a friend of mine sent me a link of the 100 most significant Sci-Fi albums of all time and The Alan Parsons Project actually came up for "I Robot" which intrigued me. I always loved that "Eye in the Sky" song but I had no idea that they were influenced by science fiction.

Anyhow I bought a 2 disc set of their best songs and I'm really impressed! They're reminiscent of something like early Porcupine Tree crossed with an old sci-fi epic movie soundtrack. But what shocked me was Time - I loved that song as a kid and had no idea it was they who wrote it until today. What a haunting and beautiful tune wow. Anyhow, I thought I would share. Cheers.

Interesting list - even Aphex Twin and Orb is on it.

I’ve become so tired of the same old crap on our three local radio stations, day after day. All 3 play the same “A” side hits over and over.      (music)

So, I’ve begun digging up old CDs and listening to the rock that really matters. I detest the age of “I’m a loser, why don’t you kill me”, and “down in a hole”, and the like. All of that music is designed to repress, oppress, depress, and possess you. Negative messaging, I want it out of my music, out of my life. Even “welcome to the jungle” is a terrible message, about drugs and crap. It’s all no good.

I want to listen to rock without messaging and agendas. The blues for instance, can’t beat Stevie Ray Vaughan. AC/DC, no agenda there. Even Pink Floyd is fucked up.

Wanted entertainment? Create it.
Need instruments? Make them..

The family cohesion this would form alone, would be significant.
Family cohesion is racial cohesion.

Downloadable as well! Most of these collections if you click on them you can either download every file in the list of shows or each file individually or you can listen to them online.

Given the way things are going in the world listening to the shows that the last white European generation was raised on might be worth preserving and downloading.

And if you're just sick of the same old stuff laced with politics and garbage or just negative then listening to some of these old mystery shows or comedies in the background is a welcome change.

How fucking tragic. 25 years old. Dude didn’t do drugs and rarely drank. He was also going to quit Ozzy’s band to study classical music. He practiced his guitar 8 hours a day and gave guitar lessons in his free time. Watching him play guitar is a gift.
