Two 1970s Ferraris at 9 minutes 45 seconds in this excellent 1976 movie. Great imagery as it really was.     (youtu.be)

Also around the 55 or 56 minute Mark those same two Ferraris race each other on the mountain roads and then the guy and the girl end up in bed. Pretty good scene. Those Ferraris are awesome. They're the same ones the fake ones that they had in Miami vice. But those are real of course. Those things are worth a million dollars or something now it's kind of crazy. They really weren't that uncommon back then.

Conspiracy Theory (1997), starring Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts, is considered “based” by certain audiences for a number of reasons—primarily its early depiction of government mind control, MKUltra-style programming, deep state corruption, and its surprisingly accurate nods to real-world conspiracy lore that were fringe in the 1990s but have since entered public discussion.

Conspiracy Theory was an original screenplay written by Brian Helgeland (who later wrote L.A. Confidential and Mystic River) and directed by Richard Donner (Lethal Weapon, Superman).

Enemy of the State predicted:

NSA mass surveillance

Corporate-state collusion

Framing dissenters

Digital tyranny

And it did so in 1998, when the general public thought your phone couldn’t be tapped unless you were Tony Montana. Now? It's a textbook example of prescient filmmaking.

Sadly, it stars Wil Smith.

The 2007 film Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg is often described as “based” by fans for its themes of rugged individualism, anti-government sentiment, and its portrayal of a hyper-competent lone hero standing against a corrupt system.

If you’re into stories where a skilled individual exposes the rot at the top and handles justice his own way—with real-world weapon knowledge and no room for compromise—Shooter is your movie. If you want a deeper dive with a touch more ideological complexity and character development, Point of Impact is worth the read.

It pulled a complete 180 from most Hollywood films. It portrayed niggers exactly accurately. It portrayed white people exactly accurately. It showed the journey of a man trying to repair a work place from the bottom up when this work place is already exhausted and spent on nigger fatigue.

It showed the common interaction that happens 800,000 times a day across America of needing to be successful, needing to tell a nigger that it's time to be serious, and that leading to personal conflicts because blacks need to be respected no matter how they behave, and respect means celebrating them when refuse to see the big picture. It did not pull any punches in any level of accuracy.

I don't want to spoil any of the more based parts. But the one last bit I'll share did take some reading between the lines but it slightly hinted at the phenomenon that companies deal with of having cascading talent loss as a result of nigger fatigue.

The only not so based part of this movie, though it's 50:50 because its a compromise anyone who works realistically has to make, so we've all done it, is our hero in the end needed to accept the nigger as the nigger that he is, figure out how to manage his psychology so that good outcomes could happen.

But the movie really told the real every day American story of any white man whose ever tried to be serious about success while black people are around.

At one point Brad Pitt even said basically, "It's alright. We don't get along because your frontal cortex isn't fully developed." There was a decent pause and then it was implied because of his age (being under 25). But anyone who knows knows.

Is it a good movie? As far as entertainment goes. No. No it's not. Maybe if you want to spend 2 hours reliving your own work life. But it's cool that someone made it.

From Wikipedia ( http://bit.ly/9fC6Ag ):
"1776 is a 1972 American musical film directed by Peter H. Hunt. The screenplay by Peter Stone was adapted from his libretto for the 1969 stage musical of the same name. Portions of the dialogue and some of the song lyrics were taken directly from the letters and memoirs of the actual participants of the Second Continental Congress. The song score was composed by Sherman Edwards."

Triumph of the Will (German: Triumph des Willens) is a 1935 German Nazi propaganda film directed, produced, edited and co-written by Leni Riefenstahl. Audio in German with English subtitles.

It chronicles the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg, which was attended by more than 700,000 Nazi supporters. The film contains excerpts of speeches given by Nazi leaders at the Congress, including Hitler, Rudolf Hess and Julius Streicher, interspersed with footage of massed Sturmabteilung (SA) and Schutzstaffel (SS) troops and public reaction. Its overriding theme is the return of Germany as a great power with Hitler as its leader. The film was produced after the Night of the Long Knives, and many formerly prominent SA members are absent.

Following its release in March 1935, it became a major example of film used as propaganda and was well-received at home. Riefenstahl's techniques—such as moving cameras, aerial photography, the use of long-focus lenses to create a distorted perspective, and the revolutionary approach to the use of music and cinematography—have earned Triumph of the Will recognition as one of the greatest propaganda films in history. It won several awards in Germany, France and Italy. During World War II, Frank Capra's seven-film series Why We Fight was directly inspired by Triumph of the Will and the United States' response to it.

The film begins with a prologue establishing the present-day as 5 September 1934 and the elapsed time since World War I, the Treaty of Versailles, Hitler's appointment as chancellor, climaxing in his visit to Nuremberg on that day. It is the only commentary in the entire film.
