Even though Cy Enfield was a jew, he did make a great movie.

Ah, yes. Back in January 1879. The old days when all of your nigger-stacking had to be done on an individual, retail, basis.
Some of it still even had to be done by hand.

But, thankfully, since 1886, thanks to American ingenuity, White Men have had the ability to stack niggers by the cord, like firewood, in wholesale lots, on an industrialized scale.

And while it may lack the pride in individual craftsmanship, it more than makes up for it in the sheer volume of business.
I'm sure the good Color Sergeant and lads at Rorke's Drift would have appreciated have one or two of Mr. Maxim's patented sewing machines.

The Martini-Henry was a beautiful rifle. A bridge between the old world muzzleloaders and the "modern" bolt action rifles of the World Wars, it's a very distinct weapon indicative of the late 19th century. While it vanished as fast as it arrived, having been made obsolete by the magazine-fed rifles of the turn of the century, it still saw limited use up until the end of the First World War.
