In November 2022, I was visited by members of NH State police and the FBI “cyber division” regarding a thread I created on /pol/, celebrating my victory over the state of NH dept of education’s C——D testing/masking policies in NH Public Schools, which effectively ended masking/testing requirements in the state’s schools. The two agents drove 2.5 hours to tell me that I didn’t break any laws or violate the 1st amendment - but that from now on I should “be quiet”, or else they would be forced to come out and visit again. The experience was very stressful and intimidating for my family, almost making me decide to shut down COOL FRIEND altogether.

During this, another alt-rock musician who I thought was a friend (Hallowed), decided the association with me would get in the way of him becoming a famous rockstar, so he kicked me off a show he had been organizing and I had been planning on, with zero concern with what has happening to me and my family. Makes me wonder about a lot of things…

I was unfortunately faced with the question I posed at the beginning of HARSH WORDS, “Is it really worth putting your neck out on the line, because we’ll surly hang alone this time?” From this perspective it seems, “nobody cares”.
