Nota a fan of the screamo but there isn’t much of it.
The last 4 min from about 10:50 should be the anthem for The Day of the Rope.

By the way, a fun fact about this band name and songs: Caladan Brood is a semi-immortal warlard character from the book series of the same name as the track you posted: Malazan Book of the Fallen. Each track's lyrics come from passages in the books. Been meaning to read, but there's a ton of them in the series, and each of them are serious paper-weights.

No shit?
I never would have looked that up.
See that’s some white people shit right there lol.
Like our painters that managed to base entire complex scenes around sacred geometry like the quadrivium.

How strange, I've been holding on off posting every atmospheric black metal song with the word "Autumn" in it. For some reason, there are a lot, including one from that album.

Caladan Brood is good shit; listen to the whole album. Also check out Can Bardd, Elderwind, and Sojourner.

Do not call atmo-black "screamo"!

Just found atmo-black recently from some mention on here somewhere. If it was you I owe you a pint cause it’s good.
Got a bit of Eldamar, A light in the Dark and Lustre so far. I’ll check out the others.
But as long as some of these vocalists come in and take a giant rancid bloody gravel filled Rottweiler shit on the instrumental masterpiece with that demon shreeking bullshit, we can agree to disagree on Atmo-Blacks screamo problem lol

That's honestly one of the downsides of the genre. I love metal, even death metal growls, but atmospheric black takes after its parent genre with the trademark black metal shrieks. I dunno why it is that way, it just is. Never been a huge black metal fan, but this offshoot just does it for me. A band that doesn't really do harsh as much would be Skyforest from Oblast, Russia. It's almost like shoegaze rock, or "blackgaze" as some call it.

Replying to your other comment here: IDK, I don't post much; mostly just quip and share my 2c on shit. Another factor is that I'm mobile 99% of the time for work, and don't feel like breaking out my laptop and accessing my music library. Not to mention that this is a fairly obscure subgenre offshooting from a pretty off-putting, anti-establishment/commercial form of metal to begin with. Probably wouldn't get a good conversation going. Seriously though, there's an atmospheric black metal album out there where every track had the word "autumn" in it. Forget the band, I think they were Frenchies, though. Now the Russian bands? Expect a lot of Winter songs.

By the way, Eldamar is pretty good, I just think they're outshined by some of the others. Still own a couple of their albums and spin them every now and then. Going to namedrop Saor as well; they've got the Gaelic vibe down pat, but their their vocals... Almost total trash except for their last two releases- Forgetten Paths had better production and Origins has almost no vocals at all.

A Light in the Dark and Lustre I am unfamiliar with, so thanks for the new content!

Edit AGAIN: So A light in the Dark I'd never listened to. That's some good blackgaze. As for Lustre, turns out I'd already heard their latest album and forgot about it; guess it didn't stick the first time.

No worries, Lustre is way on the slow side, even hard to call it metal really.
But I haven’t been current with good metal in years so I don’t really know shit about the scene.
I just started tuning out when the shrieking started and thrashing themselves right out of an actual rhythm. Might as well be fucking jazz.
Great metal can always inspire thought, emotion and energy. Shit metal struggles with just energy.

What’s with holding off on posting about songs named Autumn?
