Continuing on from the post from yesterday, [What Does It Mean To "Believe In Jesus"? [7:02] | Onorato Diamante](https://www.voat.xyz/viewpost?postid=68107dece9355), we are picking back up in John 6;
>26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
>27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Making application of these verses, we as social beings do seek comfort in filled bellies and in fitting-in or rather, finding place among our peers; these are our fleshly desires, a few among others of course, and we do work for them to one degree or another.
We can see Jesus is contrasting theses 'meats'; One is of the flesh, which is worked for, and the other of the spirit, which the Lord gives to those who are sealed by the Father. (For more on this read Ephesians 1, in particular verses 11-14.)
>28 **Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?**
>29 **Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.**
Again we see that the works of God are that we believe on him whom the Father sent, our Lord and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
