What's notable is these politicians who were shot - aside from being Democrats - actually voted AGAINST illegal aliens receiving health care. The shooter also left behind a manifesto. Be very interesting to see the motivations behind this - if the let us.
Good riddance. He should have got life w/o parole, though. Actually the DP would have been the best option. Hopefully he gets shanked quick in the joint saving the taxpayers money.
I'm going to lay good money down that this is just astroturfing for publicity, and she's a naturalized citizen. She may have been illegal at some point, but not since she's been elected to Congress. Nothing to see here, move on...
Just yesterday I got behind a car that had a sticker on the back which said "Only Gay Cops Pull Me Over". Just asking for trouble. I tried to get a picture, but for once the lights didn't cooperate. Then later when I went to the store, I walked by a man wit his wife/girlfriend(?) wearing a shirt that said "Do I look like a Fucking People person to you?" Unbelievable... made me want to haul off and deck that sack of shit. Should have complained to store if I would have thought about it. People have no shame whatsoever any more.
Well, she did get her wish of being famous - but for all the wrong reasons. I'd like dump on her Darwin style, but thinking back on all stupid shit I did at that age (never huffing, thank God) it makes wonder if I just got lucky every time. Sad story...
This, this, this, and this. But if moving away isn't an option now as you suggest, I would report the encounter to LE, at least just to get it on record. Since you have a Sacramento County Sheriff, it still likely won't keep you out of jail should you have another encounter - especially if it escalates into a violent one, but having a record of his behavior could be enough to give you a benefit of doubt should you have to go to trial. In the meantime I'd try to avoid trouble at all costs. Good luck.
The book is phenomenal. A true modern classic. I thought the TV series was... "Ok", at least I thought it was as good as they could adapt it for TV back then.
I've always been a YUGE noir fan, but that folksy deep-south voodoo stuff in the movie was also another liberty from book which I didn't like. In the book, they never left NYC, no voodoo associations (Santiera), no spooky kid. The book is much more hard boiled detective mystery that slowly turns into a horror novel. Now, I do like the movie, I think it works on a different level and I wish it would have stayed closer to the book.

Yeah, I'd bet good money she does. You gotta support the narrative if you want in the club.

As a matter of fact, yes. Yes he is above the law because he's too rich. Sorry to say it, but there's no denying it.

Or so he likes to say he is. Personally, I think it's more likely larping just to be in the Cool Kids Club.

I use Brave exclusively for YouTube, and have absolutely no issues. How long that will last is anybody's guess, though.

The book "Shogun" by James Clavell has this as one of it's central themes. Incredible book.

I'll definitely have to check those out. The book Angel Heart is based on is Falling Angel by William Hjortsburg, FYI.
