Me and my band were doing a gig in 1999. It was September here in the UK (coincidentally 9/11) and really hot, so we took everything outside. Everything was going well, and there was a pool that people were jumping in, and generally having a good time. Anyhow, this huge storm moved in, and it started raining. Light at first, but then torrential. Everyone legged it inside, but like the young, dumb idiots we were, we carried on playing, because we were having such a good time.
All our equipment was getting wet, and the storm got bigger and bigger. Lightening was flashing all over the place, and felt like it was above our heads. We just kept on going like idiots, whilst all the other people were screaming at us to come in.
Suddenly, everything went white. Like, I was standing in a white room. No music, no sound, nothing. I just stood there for a bit,checking the place out, totally at peace. It was actually quite nice. After a while, my vision came round, and I started to ‘come back’ to the real world. My bass was just hanging down, my arms by my side. I looked over to my mates and they were just staring into nothing, guitars feeding back. The drummer, Nic, too. Eventually, they came back too. We all looked at each other and said something like ‘what the hell just happened?’ Turned our stuff off and went inside.
Those that saw what happened said we were jamming when suddenly we all, at the same time, just dropped our instruments and stared into nothing. They said it was really eerie the way it happened. There was no lightening at that point. We literally just stopped. We all went in doors, and locked ourselves in a room to discuss what the hell had just happened to us.
Turns out we all went to the same white room.
We talk about this to this day. Something big happened to us. We’re all pretty much convinced that we died, but somehow ended up on some other ‘line’ of existence. ‘This’ reality I’m in now, isn’t the same path I’d be on, if we hadn’t have had that experience in 1999. Since then, I’ve been convinced that there’s multiple existences going on, which is in relation to this video.
