Monk Fruit Sweetener

Any opinions on it? We know aspartame is completely poisonous, and now stevia is turning out to be the same.

The only side effect of stevia is that it is used in africa as birth control but the effects go away as soon as you stop taking it.

Don’t eat sugars, period.

Monk fruit has no known downsides, but it's very expensive to get the pure stuff (~$45/oz). Usually whats marketed as "monk fruit sweetener" is mostly erythritol, which is processed the same way as alcohol (ethanol) but faster so it's significantly more toxic. It also has stack-on effects if you're a regular drinker or you consume it with alcohol.

Stevia leaf extract (Rebaudioside A / "Reb A") is much cheaper to get pure and has only been found to have negative effects in super high dose rat studies. However it does have a slight bitter undertone so you have to cover it up with a strong flavor like mint if you're going to use a lot of it.

Its not 100% monk fruit. They mix it with alcohol sugar. You cant find monk fruit sweetener. It doesnt exist.

It exists, but you won't find it in a grocery store and it's real fuckin expensive. Like $700/lb expensive.

Monk fruit isn't nearly as sweet as sugar or as other substitutes. So you need to use a ton of it. On top of that it tastes a bit odd, and I think not in a good way. I tried it for a week or so and than bailed.

I drink lemonade sweetened with Stevia and that actually tastes really good, especially when mixed with some carbonated water. (That Spindrift water is great for this.)

After trying a few others, I finally settled on Splenda. It's certainly not great for you, but I try to cut the amount I use as much as possible.

Oh - be really careful of the 'no / low calorie' sweetener used in Monster Energy. That shit oddly causes my blood sugar to spike ridiculously and stay weirdly high for some time after. My doctor told me it could be that I'm allergic to that particular sweetener. So keep that in mind.

I learned the other day they use glyphosate on sugarcane. Now, I use organic sugar or honey only.

No shit retard they use glyphosate on everything, even your holistic housewife organic produce. They just lie to you about it.

It tastes good, I don't know anything about it nutritionally.
