Did some big shopping today around the place, been a long time and over due. Ended up walking out of a bunch of stores because of no mask or refusing to sign in, but interestingly the only item I was not able to acquire was a pair of specialty gloves that I didn't have time to look in another store for because baby stuff.
My nearby NQR has not once in the last 2 years ever forced any government retard thing and they're always happy to serve regardless. They have never even mentioned a single thing about it and I go in there frequently. Total tools on the other hand, always 100% living up to their name. Even every bunnings I have walked into after the initial government push last year has given up.PJs pets tarded up. Pet stock were happy to take my money. Seems like only 1 out of the 6 within range specialty stores I wont describe, have been gun ho about it since the start. A couple of my usual spots posted a bunch of nonsense about it, but then told me personally they arent enforcing. Coles never once, but safeway have made comments, but never forced anything. Local IGA were all for it at first, but they have given up in entirety. However I believe this is mostly due to the population here. My father hilariously told big w front door woman to fuck off for letting a nigger in instead of him, because he needed to buy underwear (he is unvaxxed). But then he (unfortunately he isn't a smart man), had someone else go into the store for him to get them. No alcohol store has done anything, but I only visit two nearby ones and not very often. No stock feed place has ever done anything, with my local one confiding in me and my wife about the problems going on.
There is an interesting level of variety in what I am experiencing. But really, other than some minor delays in having to go to another store, not much fuss.
So I finally found a power pack for my old sega from 1990. Plugged it in, works great. Controller not so great. Not very responsive and sticky. Slight feeling of dread. I didn't know where my second controller was and after having cleaned and replaced parts in stuff like PS2, 360 and many N64 controllers, I felt like this adventure was going to die here.
But turned out to be the best controller I ever had the chance to clean. I found some foam lining that was around the base of the D pad that was supposed to stop gunk from getting in and it was still completely intact and not worn out. Looks like gunk had just collected along the side of the D pad and hit a recess that preventing it from getting into hte controller, which is where the foam sat outside. Really simple design, but way way more effective than everything that has come after it. And it was made in china. I am really surprised the foam had not disintegrated after 30 years.
It was a warm and sunny day in 1935, when my mother dragged my almost dead just born baby body by the coat hanger into the river. I was saved by a school of mosquito larvae and ever since I have lived as the mosquito does. Currently I live in a nursing home with my two lovely wives who are registered nurses. But they are terrible people. They will only give me my meds if I give them $10 and they usually put them in bags in powder form. How very thoughtful of them, it is very hard to swallow pills. I think they should get a raise.
