I've always been a YUGE noir fan, but that folksy deep-south voodoo stuff in the movie was also another liberty from book which I didn't like. In the book, they never left NYC, no voodoo associations (Santiera), no spooky kid. The book is much more hard boiled detective mystery that slowly turns into a horror novel. Now, I do like the movie, I think it works on a different level and I wish it would have stayed closer to the book.

It has some trashy moments in it yes. That's one of the liberties from the book I didn't care for. Still worth a watch, IMO.

Give it a shot if you get a chance. Mickey Rourke (pre-plastic surgery) stars in it, along with DeNiro. You can find it on Putlocker, Bitchute, and other streaming services.

Another great actor that played the devil which comes to mind is Ray Milland in "Alias Nick Beal", a Faustian noir movie. Good one too. I'm sure there's been a lot of great actors who have played Mr. Scratch in the past we could think of.

Angel Heart (1987). Not aware of any other devil role he played. Actually a very good neo noir, and worth watching if you can find it. Although they did take some liberties from the book (Falling Angel) which I didn't care for.

The only devil I'm aware of De Niro ever playing was in Angel Heart (1987), which was actually a very good performance.

The press always swoons over these multi-multi billionaires who say they "don't believe in inherited wealth" when all their "generosity" is just another way to avoid paying taxes on their money. Their kids and their kids kids sure as hell won't be lacking for money. Just a few months ago Gates himself gave his daughter a multi million dollar wedding.

Hmmm.... if it's a movie where zombies are ripping apart and devouring screaming faggots, I might give it a watch. But if it's just queers battling zombies as the article suggests, that idea's already been done to death with The Walking Dead. All that faggot worship killed that show.

Never too early! Now open the pod bay doors HAL!

Yeah, even though it's only 06/01, from what I've seen the faggot fanfare seems to be very muted so far. In fact I haven't seen a single rainbow flag flying yet. Curious to see how my local businesses handle it this time around.

That was actually pretty good. 👍

Not observing it. The same thing I've always done since this faggot shit reared it's very ugly head. Curious to see how many businesses fly the fag flag this year.

I very seriously doubt they run Buttplug. That flaming faggot will go down in flames (pun intended). One thing's for sure, they'll definitely run a man this time. They're 0-2 with the skirts.

Kind of a unique way to put it, but...yeah.

Looks like it's on YouTube as well.

Yeah, that's a good one. Fun fact: HPD is actually a remake of the spaghetti Western "Django the Bastard". Worth watching if you get the chance.

Answer provided by Grok:

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) are related but not the same. SNAP is a federal program that provides nutrition benefits to low-income individuals and families to purchase food. EBT is the system used to deliver those benefits, typically through a debit-like card that recipients use to buy eligible food items at authorized retailers. Essentially, SNAP provides the funds, and EBT is the method for accessing and spending them. Other programs, like TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), may also use EBT cards for cash benefits, but SNAP specifically focuses on food assistance.

Absolutely, but it will be more like 15 - 20 yrs after she discovered that she's "traumatized" and some court rules her lawsuit can proceed even though statute of limitations has expired. At least that's the SOP for how these fame whores handle these things now.

I definitely remember this. Pretty wild.
