Funny how two weeks ago everyone (not here, in normie land) was saying how Will Smith shouldn’t have bitchslapped Chris Rock. Today we have peeps on the interwebs praising Tyson for pounding the drunk faggot on the plane.
I was supposed to pick up four new hens like two weeks ago, but the seller flaked on me. She said something about “bird flu” and was hesitant to have anyone who is around chickens, come on her property. Said she would instead meet me halfway with some girls.
Why? Hell no. That’s weird, besides, I want to see where they’re coming from. So next week we are going to another ranch that is open to the public to pick out chickens. In the meantime, one of my old girls, 8 years and one month, is sick. Started her on clavamox, but have to wait until Tuesday to get her in to the vet to get more. I don’t have enough for seven days and here, you have to get a prescription, which means they have to see the patient.
Took a day off because we’re supposed to get rain tomorrow and I needed to get caught up on yard things. Leaves I still hadn’t cleaned up since fall, and getting all the oleanders cut back for the season. Should have done those in the winter, but oh well. Windy as hell today too, and I hate the wind. This stuff had to be done though, and I got everything done and more.
I was hauling hauling tarps of debris out to the burn area which has been overgrown with weeds taller than me, another thing I’m behind. On my third run out and after unloading the tarps onto the pile, I look over and there is a turkey hen sitting on her nest six feet away. She didn’t budge a bit. Obviously wasn’t gonna get off her eggs because I was there. I went back and got the iPad and grabbed a few pics but catbox isn’t working so I don’t know how to post it.
Spent the day with neighbors and their extended family. Ton of of kids and dogs running around. A lot of beer and food. These folks are family to my wife and I. Always just a cool mellow time with them. Best part today was, I gave the neighbor this old mini bike that was barely running, and he got it all worked out, and his boy came roaring up on it this morning to ask when we were coming over. Just really cool To see him out ripping it up having a good time. Made me smile. 🙂
