From the article, it was just banned in the eu in the covid era. Not going to take that as a strong signal that it's actually dangerous.

It's not dangerous. I used to work with titanium dioxide a lot. It's a very common colorant in food, toothpaste, and soap. I looked into it when I had to deal with it on the daily.

I hate this third world ESL retard but it’s a fact that TiO2 fucks up the gut. It’s associated with IBS and other digestive problems. It’s not inherently toxic but eating it is not good.
