It's not dangerous. I used to work with titanium dioxide a lot. It's a very common colorant in food, toothpaste, and soap. I looked into it when I had to deal with it on the daily.

I hate this third world ESL retard but it’s a fact that TiO2 fucks up the gut. It’s associated with IBS and other digestive problems. It’s not inherently toxic but eating it is not good.
