Announcing v/Fatherhood

@Her0n mentioned that we needed a Fatherhood sub and had reservations on how involved he'd be able to be in maintaining it.

I thought that was a great idea and, having a shitload of kids, might be a way for me to give back to this community that has given me so much.

Around the same time, @MaryXmas created and announced v/Dads, which seems to be going exceptionally well so far.

Since we now have both subs, I tried to differentiate them a bit by description, though there is certain to be some overlap there.

I'm open to suggestions as to how/whether to change the description to suit the needs of the community, or whether we even need both (I suppose time will tell). Please feel free to let me know if you have any.

I didn't realize you were already setting up fatherhood. I do agree with the other comment- being a dad and being a father are 2 very different things. I know a lot of dads and very few fathers.

Most of the time, I am a dad, until the weekend, when I become a father and my children beg their mother to divorce me. :D

Seems to me “Dads” is about just that, our Dads, where “Fatherhood” is about our experiences in the trade. I think they are entirely different and both have a place here. Cool mang!

This was the sentiment I was getting between the two subs.

I was looking for more of a philosophical connection, but it also warms my heart to see dads in action. I think the brother subs will do nicely if we maintain the differences.

Given most of the dudes on the site have two fathers, seems two father subs is appropriate.
