My son hugged and kissed me today unprompted. I cried tears of happiness, contentedness, joy, and exuberance.

Being a father is so amazing and I can't believe I almost passed this up when I was younger (I almost got a vasectomy).

Goats, if you can, have children. Have as many as your wife can handle pushing out for you.

It's worth everything this world throws at you.

PS:

We need a fatherhood sub, but I don't know how involved moderating is and don't want to promise what I can't maintain.

I always hated fishing with a rod and reel. I do like spearfishing, even when I get nothing. I like pretending to be a caveman.

I watch for them in the creek/river and wade in near their area. I usually have to wait still and calm until the fish settle back into their spot. I use fire hardened wooden spears I carved, and aim slightly "below" where the fish seems to be. I don't always get fish, but when I do it's a good feeling.
