So there was obviously no trannies.

[ - ] ParnellsUprising 3 points 10 months ago (+3/-0)

Lol, I really don't know, but it seems odd that they would include this little snippet:

Specifically, WTREX is an opportunity to engage participants of all different genders, ethnic, and racial backgrounds to explore the growing role of women in fire management.

How many genders can a woman be?

Accommodation and travel costs are to be covered by the home agency. Space is limited to 35 participants Selections will be made with diversity and inclusion goals in mind.

So at least one male was there.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/parks-canada-working-to-contain-out-of-control-fire-near-banff-alta/ar-AA1aHQkE

This article confirms it was a prescribed burn.

The fire is now classified as 'Being Held' thanks to helicopter bucketing, fire personnel, and assisting agencies," wrote Parks Canada on Twitter.

So they had to ask for help including helicopters, who pays for that shit?

It also reported that the evacuation order for the Rocky Mountain Resort had been lifted and guests staying at the resort started returning at 9 p.m.

The conference was accomodated at the Rocky Mountain Resort. They had to leave their hotel. Lol.

Parks Canada later added that, "due to an unexpected shift in wind direction and speed, the fire escaped the predetermined boundary

Wind will do that.

Resident:
"It makes me feel a little embarrassed for the Parks people who decided to have controlled burns on a hot, windy day."

Not smart.

[ - ] Name 3 points 10 months ago (+3/-0)*

“ predetermined boundary “

Dammit Jim, I’m a fire not a psychologist.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

Lol

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 1 point 10 months ago (+1/-0)

who pays for that shit?

White men.

Wind will do that.

Yeah, that's why you prepare for the wind to go in any direction. Doing something like this, you have to account for everything that can go wrong and either counter it, or be prepared for it.

Failure is failure, whatever the excuses. That's why those in power need to be held more accountable, and why they have to also be more responsible, not less. No plausible deniability or blame-shifting allowed.

Down here in my great state of Victoria, we have what is called "cultural burning" - burning the bushland while respecting aboriginal beliefs etcetera.

Not sure if Canada has anything similar, but given who the prime minister I wouldn't be surprised.

Unexpected benefit of their infiltration of women's spaces.

[ - ] 2Drunk 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

Maybe we offer a bonus for being top "female" firefighter of the year and we can avoid these travesties.

[ - ] big_fat_dangus 4 points 10 months ago (+4/-0)

Who could have predicted this??

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

Dangus thought it read “Women on fire” , is now heartily disappointed!

Other than vote gab is the least censored public forum on the internet today as far as I can see.

[ - ] NedsHead 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

WTF their twitter handle is #DYK ??

[ - ] 3Whuurs 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

I swear, women TRULY do not comprehend that they have had absolutely zero connection to the imagination, creation or maintenance of the entire modern world.

Even the absolute most based women you can find will somewhat condescendingly admit they can’t do what men do, but their contribution to the modern world is so non existent that they honestly can’t bring themselves to articulate how thankful they should be.

[ - ] boekanier 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

women are only good in the kitchen, other than that it's a disaster

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

Blah blah blah diversity and inclusion blah blah we still need to work towards equity as woman are clearly.....wutz dat the fire is out of the containment area?! Wuzza hoooowyte straight male mxnsplaolning again!!

[ - ] totes_magotes 0 points 10 months ago (+0/-0)

Classic bullshit and lies.

1. Make outrageous claim

2. Say that any lack of evidence contrary is proof the claim is true

JFC, some people should be executed for the good of humanity.

[ - ] PostWallHelena -2 points 10 months ago (+0/-2)

What is the outrageous claim? That the female firefighters were to blame for this fire? Seems like plenty of evidence.
