The best thing I ever did was pay off all my debts. Earned two pensions. And have a retirement fund. No car payments, no credit card debt. I still have a mortgage but the monthly is so low I could collect aluminum cans and make the payment.

All of the above is true. He's only telling half the story though.

Neighbors who were less tolerant would have a difficult time competing with the aspirations of these kings and would have a difficult time defending themselves.
