I know, it's an old article, but I'd never seen it. People usually blame the dog when they fart. This guy takes lack of accountability to another level.

NUIT, for Near-Ultrasound Inaudible Trojan, that exploits vulnerabilities in smart device microphones and voice assistants to silently and remotely access smart phones and home devices... millions of other devices, from laptops to speakers, lights, garage door openers and front door locks, could be remotely hijacked, using carefully crafted near-ultrasonic sounds.

more also on flingup about ultrasound usage, in comments:

Is The Register (extreme-left tech blog) on the USAID free money list?     (www.theregister.com)

https://www.theregister.com/

The Register reads like ChatGPT spam when it comes to the usual topics (orange man bad, no one elected Musk). They highlight how everyone is opposed to Musk, how his tech-startup ways won't work, etc.

But they completely ignore how high-tech algos and math put together how the blob deep money is connected. They don't report at all about USAID waste.

I wonder if there are some connections between USAID and The Register. It's clear The Register has an extreme agenda, and it reads like a blog-for-hire. I think it actually is.

Can anyone recommend a similar but same tech news source?
