If they put these micro laser projectors in smart phones then people will never buy another flat screen tv. It will devastate that industry. Invest accordingly.     (twitter.com)

Anyone here using A steam deck as a Linux os? it's supposed to run windows programs      (technology)

I would like to know a bit more before I go tinkering with this (I'm not buying it to play steam games, of anything I'll be playing GoG games or flash games on it).

Do the different versions really make a difference? It talks about faster ssds, but they all take a micro SD card, right? So I should be able to get a quality SD card (for cheaper than staam's mark ups for disk space) and run off there, right?

How well does it run windows programs

Who even wants to download hollywood movies for free? (if you do you're a faggot and a hypocrite)

Even games these days are pozzed as shit, only dopamine addicts play those (and you're dumb and gay if you're buying shit on day 1 - you and I both know those games are buggy and unfinished, and ten years later the game still isn't finished. dumb and gay).

Google Warns Millions of Android Phone Users to Take Action Immediately     (www.theepochtimes.com)

four vulnerabilities allow an attacker to remotely compromise a phone at the baseband level with no user interaction, and require only that the attacker know the victim’s phone number.

the exploit is based on wifi calling using a specific chipset in some Android phones.

**Product Review** Light Bulb Security Camera     (emporiumhut.net)

Executive Summary

Good; and in the right hands (tech head) with a subscription for Cloud storage probably very good.

Operation

1. The device seems to work (motion detected/recorded to SD card) without a wireless connection but the wireless connection with the relevant app enables you to remotely swivel the camera head so it would be good for parents checking on kids etc but it seems the device's intruder-function is performed by having it pointed at the relevant area e.g. doorway; put on the motion-detection setting; and for the image to be recorded to the card or Cloud (subscription).

2. No fees unless you buy Cloud storage. I've read that if you don't pay a subscription some of the features might not work e.g. remote swivel viewing.

3. I got the item to connect to a wireless set-up via a Tablet (Android) as I don't have a smart phone.

4. I've uploaded (daytime) images from the Card and they were very good but it was a pain checking 40 or so video clips so I hope there'll be fewer now that I've stopped messing about with it (movement detection).

Conclusion

Would I buy another one? Not sure.Doubt it because getting up on a step ladder to retrieve the card is a pain and getting the camera aimed at the right place e.g. door is a pain. For me, a battery operated trail-camera is probably all I need as I can point it any way I want.

NUIT, for Near-Ultrasound Inaudible Trojan, that exploits vulnerabilities in smart device microphones and voice assistants to silently and remotely access smart phones and home devices... millions of other devices, from laptops to speakers, lights, garage door openers and front door locks, could be remotely hijacked, using carefully crafted near-ultrasonic sounds.
