https://future-forum.tech/media/news/itogi-foruma-budushchikh-tekhnologiy-vychisleniya-i-svyaz-kvantovyy-mir/

“Ahead of time” is the motto of the Future Technologies Forum “Computing and Communications. Quantum World”, which opened a series of annual events dedicated to the discussion of breakthrough areas of the country's technological development. The main task of the Forum is to stimulate the joint work of the state, science and business in the development and implementation of technologies that allow Russia to comply with global trends and claim world technological leadership.

Our principal task is to bring the entire economy to a qualitatively new level based on big data,” the President of Russia noted in his speech at the plenary session of the Forum. Vladimir Putin proposed “within a year to prepare a new national project for the period up to 2030,

same date as the west reset.

State corporations responsible for the development of quantum technologies in the country presented their advanced developments to the President of Russia. The most powerful in the country — a 16-qubit ion quantum computer, on which a molecule calculation algorithm is launched using a cloud platform, was demonstrated by Rosatom State Corporation. In turn, representatives of Russian Railways spoke about the construction of a backbone quantum network as part of the implementation of the Quantum Communications roadmap — by 2030 it will pass through 34 regions. And today Russia is already among the world leaders in terms of the length of the quantum backbone network.

The Alliance in the field of artificial intelligence, which includes the country's leading companies, including Sberbank, is launching a new line of work on the application of quantum technologies in the field of artificial intelligence. Moscow at the Forum announced the creation by the end of 2024 of a quantum cluster based on the infrastructure of the Skolkovo innovation center. The creation of the cluster has become a key point in the cooperation agreement signed by Rosatom State Corporation and the Russian Quantum Center. Another agreement - between the Russian Quantum Center and VK - will accelerate the development of quantum computing in the cloud Germany and Australia. A number of discussions took place on the site, dedicated to international cooperation and implementation of joint projects. In particular, the scientists spoke about the Russian-Chinese experiment to test quantum space communications.

According to experts, the widespread practical use of quantum computing may begin as early as 2025, and on the horizon of 2030, non-quantum technological leadership will become impossible. It is predicted that the global market for quantum communications by 2035 will be about $20 billion.

Leading countries are actively investing in quantum technologies, realizing the need to ensure national security and transition to new economic models. Today, the most important task for us is to build up internal competencies and launch pilot implementations of quantum solutions. The forum showed the readiness of the state, society and business to jointly resist external threats, create and implement breakthrough technologies,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Forum.

The roadmap went far beyond the action plan for the development of quantum computing and became the foundation of a trusting relationship between scientific groups and the corporation. We managed to build a real quantum family. We not only became market coordinators, but also took on administrative responsibility. Today, our main task is to accelerate the introduction of quantum technologies in various sectors of the economy. Using the example of the nuclear industry, we are ready to show that in the coming years they will solve complex industrial problems and become an integral part of the technological landscape,” said Alexei Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation, in his speech at the plenary session of the Forum.

govt cooperating with the private sector is called fascism

Support for science, the status of scientists, and the resumption of the mega-grant program are essential components for our country's leadership in key industries. And within the framework of the Forum, the first National Science Award “Challenge” was launched. The annual award and a significant cash prize will be awarded to Russian scientists, engineers, inventors whose developments have significant potential and have a practical implementation horizon of 3-10 years.

As a result of the Forum, more than 1,400 people visited the site , including 750 specialists from more than 80 Russian and foreign educational and research institutions and 250 media representatives . Among the participants were those who had just chosen or are on their way to their profession. “It's great that the Forum was held with the participation of young scientists, even schoolchildren! We not only saw the people who make decisions in our country, but also saw those who will be the heroes of tomorrow,” said Ruslan Yunusov, co-founder of the Russian Quantum Center.

The Forum of Future Technologies is held under the auspices of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced from 2022 by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The event was hosted by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Co-organizers: JSC "Russian Railways" and the state corporation "Rosatom". Title partners: Government of Moscow and AO Gazprombank. The general partner of the Forum is Sberbank PJSC. The organizer of the scientific conference ICQT 2023 is the Russian Quantum Center.

With HR 3557, Broadband Monopolies Are Pushing A Bill That Would Crush Your Town’s Ability To Stand Up To Them     (www.techdirt.com)

For thirty-plus years, giant telecom monopolies have worked tirelessly to crush all broadband competition. At the same time, they’ve lobbied state and federal governments so extensively, that the vast majority of politicians are feckless cardboard cutouts with little real interest in market or consumer health.

The result has been fairly obvious: Americans pay some of the highest prices in the developed world for sluggish, slow broadband with historically abysmal customer service.

Telecom lobbyists love to insist that often-shitty U.S. broadband is the envy of the modern world (it isn’t). They also love to argue that the only reason U.S. broadband isn’t even more awesome is because of “too much government regulation,” unnecessary red tape, and “bureaucracy.”

PARIS, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Apple must stop selling its iPhone 12 model in France due to above-threshold radiation levels, France's junior minister for the digital economy told newspaper Le Parisien in an interview published on Tuesday.

France's radiation watchdog ANFR notified Apple of its decision to ban iPhone 12 sales after it had carried out tests which showed the smartphone's Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) was slightly higher than legally allowed, Jean-Noel Barrot told the paper.

Apple did not immediately reply to a Reuters request for comment.

Even if you don't download suspicious files, there is still a danger called Exploit Kit. A malicious site can attack your computer automatically, bypassing your antivirus. Cybercriminals use to attack vulnerabilities in systems so they can distribute malware or perform other malicious activities.

Anything I can do goats? It's a normal hdd I use through a usb dock. When I connect it, window just shows "USB drive" but I cant do anything with it and the HDD doesn't spin or anything. I tried connecting it directly to the motherboard and it still won't show up. Seems like it's not getting power. My files from the past 15 years on it.

The idea: You own your identity. People who want to watch your stuff, read your posts, etc. can follow your identity. If Th3mTube yanks your account, people who follow you will still see your stuff if it's hosted elsewhere, like on Odysee or Rumble. All available through a decentralized protocol.
