The state of installing operating systems     (matrix.gvid.tv)

That is you end up taking those steps installing windows if you don't want windows to own all of your data.

Though to me it seems pretty foolish, because you can copy pasta all the scripts from github you want. It just takes one update from Windows to undo everything you did. They are going to break your shit at least once in the lifetime of the install. And then your data is theirs.

It's like communism if communism means that "our data" means a corporation is the beneficiary.

https://interestingengineering.com/transportation/embraer-world-1st-auto-takeoff-planes

in a first in the aviation industry, Embraer has introduced an automatic takeoff system on one of its commercial jets.

The Embraer Enhanced Takeoff System (E2TS) system is designed to provide its E2 passenger aircraft with an optimal profile and automated takeoff. This allows for increased fuel capacity, which extends the range and boosts the onboard payload.

The Brazilian manufacturer’s design claims to improve rotation and trajectory, reduce field length, and lessen pilot workload. Other than a software update, no aircraft modifications are required.

These are the three leading AI photo to video systems. Jews no longer control the means to make media to make excellent media. What stories will you now make?     (x.com)

To be clear what's happening is someone is making an AI image like the picture of the building next to the water and then they're feeding it to another AI which is one of the three you see here by name and then giving it text instructions like zoom away and snow is falling etc. And in these cases it they started with two different images to make two different clips.

Right now these are free for limited use each day in other words you get an allotment of time each day and at least for cling you can make about four or five clips per day for free.

The cyber espionage group dubbed Evasive Panda (also known as StormBamboo and previously tracked as StromCloud) compromised an unnamed Internet Service Provider (ISP) in mid-2023 to push malicious software updates to target entities.

This incident marks a significant escalation in the sophistication of the group’s tactics.

Adblockers must be part of AV software     (technology)

When I didn't know about adblockers, my computer got infected several times by malware from malicious ads on socials. My AV was unable to stop them. After I've got an adblocker, I'm free from malware from shady ads. Adblockers must be considered serious AV software like AV are.

OLED and AMOLED screen burn     (technology)

I've learned that OLED and AMOLED screens have screen burn effect after viewing static images. Only IPS screens are immune.

Can anybody who uses smartphones with OLED and AMOLED screen tell if this is a serious problem, or if these screens get damaged only after long time of static images exposure.

I can't recommend JBL headphones     (technology)

I have tried Sony and Sennheiser headphones. They were both defective. Buttons didn't work and the battery failed to charge. I had to return both of them. Now I'm trying the JBL. The build quality looks great so far, everything is working. But there are 2 problems. The sound is not clear. They cost $200, but sound like cheap $50 Chinese headphones. Also, the app doesn't work, unless you allow the app to track your position.

The market capitalization of Bitcoin will be equal to the market capitalization of gold with less than nine times increase in bitcoin. And that is now seeming well within reach.     (technology)

With Bitcoin just coming out of it s last happening and just starting to equalize and it's last happening peak at $70,000 now reaching 90 crossing 100 is no longer implausible at all as expected and that puts it within 300,000 this cycle if you know anything about how these halving cycles have worked in the past. Values often jump 10 times.
