I'll start with Forrest Gump (1994). I know the book is kiked, with Forrest being a piece of shit, but the movie is great. In the movie, Forrest represents the naive average American who becomes successful. Also, the slut he loves dies in the end. Basically a happy end for all righteous people.

Can anybody fuck up a post-apocalyptic movie? Obama can and did. Post-apocalyptic movies are always fun and interesting. Well the wife and I watched this on Netflix just now and when the screen showed the names of Barack and Michele, it was a certainty that the movie would stink. And like most newer movies, the ending didn't explain anything or reach any conclusions.

On Saturday, we went to a theater and watched 'Godzilla Minus One'. Now THAT was a great movie, perfect in every way. This 'Leave The World Behind' movie was just lame and incomplete. Hey Barack, please leave the world - alone. Better still, please leave the world.

I remember the local channels (not ABC or major networks, the cool ones that showed cartoons) showing this when there were no infomercials running back in the 80s.

Alright movie, but downright retarded. When Maverick got shot down, I was like "watch, he's gonna steal a plane from the enemy because he's apparently so good at that, then he's gonna land it on the carrier." and thats exactly what happened. It was stupid. Him and his buddy just waltz in to the enemy air base, hop in an old F14 that was there, assumed everything on it worked, then took off from the blown up airfield using a taxiway, narrowly avoiding a collision of course, and flew back to the carrier, dodging SAMs and shot down a couple enemy ultra-high tech 5th gen fighters before running out of ammo and being saved by a the reserve guy shooting down the last enemy plane that was tailing him at the last second.
Very predictable.
It was an alright movie though i guess.
