I remember the local channels (not ABC or major networks, the cool ones that showed cartoons) showing this when there were no infomercials running back in the 80s.
I saw this as a little kid, not long after I saw Star Wars. For years after I would sometimes expect to see bits of Hardware Wars in Star Wars. LOL. Bambi VS Godzilla was also great.
Saw this at the local repertory theater as a part of a collection of goofy independent film shorts. We were high as fucking kites so it made no sense whatsoever and I've only ever been able to recall a few fleeting images. I do remember laughing our fool heads off though. Rewatching it so many years later is going to be a trip.
The collection also included:
- Bambi Vs. Godzilla, which I recall very well for some reason. Perhaps because it's so short?
- Some film that included a Christ figure of some sort being crucified on a large Peace Symbol.
- A film about a motorcycle gang done using stop motion.
There were more but that's all that I've ever been able to recall.
